On 29 Sep 2019, there was very violent riot in Admiralty. From a video circulated online (which is https://www.facebook.com/todayreview88/posts/2172746646362046), it showed that one fireman opened the closed iron gate of the Admiralty MTR station and released the suspects inside the station.
I have some questions requesting your explanation on behalf of the FSD.
1) Even if FSD has received call from citizen on seeking help to release the people inside, has the fireman contacted the properties owner, MTRC, to understand the situation as obviously the iron gate is closed for reasons?
2) I am sure the fireman knows there is riot in Admiralty. As explained by FSD in the case of 831 allegation, FSD needs to listen to the police’s instruction for the cases which police is fighting crimes. As riot control was the utmost important thing there, why a single fireman can decide to release the suspect inside without seeking MTRC or HKPF’s consent?
3) What is the emergency the fireman saw in this case that can justify his action of releasing suspects?
4) What is the official stand of FSD in this case? Political stand of individual firemen can prevail to assist crime to happen in HK?
5) What will be the consequence of this problematic fireman after he released suspects by taking advantage of his role? If there is not any punishment for this fireman, it will be totally inappropriate and unfair to citizen obeying laws.
It has been multiple times I have written to you to complain about political stand of the civil servants jeopardizing the order and safety of HK. Lately, Ms Cheung Hoi Ting of LSCD on 22 Sep and this fireman on 29 Sep are exactly the cases showing how adverse the situation is but still CSB has done nothing about the situation and do not even reply properly.
