Anybody want to make a cantonese playgroup? I will move back to Aussie again for giving brith (2nd time) soon. I search that there is not many playgroup in Aust but lot of child care there. Anybody can provide this information?

In fact, I live in Melbourne, but, if u check with the local Council (which u bring your baby to regular body check up and weigh), they can provide u the info for Chinese playgroup. Otherwise, there is many Chinese playgroup ad stick on to the notice board at the council office.... Please check

Thank you for your info. Last time I just bring my son to GP for check up and weigh after he born, I didn't bring him to council office, is there very helpful? Have you join these Chinese playgroup? Do you know how long to take these playgroup? Are you full time mummy?
Medical checkup at council is not really helpful. If u find any problem with your kids, better bring them to doctor, I believe.... The nurses at the council are helpful, still, they r not specialist.
I do bring my daughter to playgroup, called Gymbaroo (english). Quite good and my little one does enjoy playing there... Each session lasts 50mins and the instructor will dance and sing with the kids. And the kids are all in similar age. (pleass check www.gymbaroo.com.au) But I will bring her to Chinese playgroup when we come back from HKG, as I want her to get together with more Chinese, instead of local Australians... so that she can pick up more Chinese instead of English.
Yes, at the time being, I am a full time mother. Since only she and I stay at home, I also bring her to swim lesson and music lesson so that she wont get bored just staying at home or going out to markets... And I plan to send her to the child care for 2 half days so that she can play with oher kids. How about u??
Wah! I just have a quick look on the gymbaroo playgroup, they also got a centre close to my house in Aussie, thank you. I will bring my son there after we come back. Regarding the Chinese playgroup, I checked the council already, they don't have any in my location, maybe check later, do you know is there any other ways to search Chinese playgroup in Aussie?
I also a full time mummy now because of pregnant again, although everyday can company with my baby all the time but sometime I feel boring. Maybe during the pregnant time, there are many restriction things cannot do and cannot go. I wonder if I stay in Aussie longer, I think I will same as you, bring my son attend to different type of lessons. Are you enjoy this life style? I also wonder go back to work after giving birth. You know when you got a job, you want to stay at home, but when you stay at home all the time, you want to go to work again, CONFLICT!
