To me it was so helpful, since I am a working mother. I was so depended on it if I didn't have it for 1 day, I'd die. I even took it to HK on trips... I was feeding exclusively for the first 7 months so I was pumping 6, 7 times a day. I rented a hospital grade Medela(very very powerful) from this shop called Bond in Macau. I also used a handpump for the first month but the electric one saved my life because the hand one was so slow and so messy. With the electric one I was pumping 8 oz bottles in 20 minutes. It's just a very very time consuming thing, but I'll do anything for the good of my boy![quote]

I haven't tried Avent. I used Medela and I was very happy with it. I've already returned my rental to the shop but I miss those days pumping 7 times a day very much.... always rush rush rush, hahaha.
Xana,
I don't remember exactly... it's price is about $1600 for 9 months rental... why don't you call them, 533-530, they are near 翡翠園(Mei Foo Jeung Avenue).
I also bought a Pigeon manual one for use when I travel far(because it is very light), or when I go to HK for the morning (so you can pump out when you feel very painful). Just go to the bathroom, pump out, and throw away. Also if you don't pump out, your supply will decrease. THe Pigeon one was about $200. But for me it is very troublesome to use everyday.
Yes ah, kind of expensive ah. Made me very "Meat Painful." And no, you don't get the money back ga.
But I thought, I was using it 5 or 6 times a day, for 9 months, and it was so quick and powerful, very easy to pump 8 oz bottles. So from the time and trouble it saved me, I guess it's worth it. Because after using the manual pump for the 1st 15 days after I left the hospital, I missed the big electric one so bad and I only wanted to use the same one I was using at the hospital. So I begged my husband to get it, haha.
Yes, I guess I kind of paid a little bit more for it... because I didn't have time to try different ones, and I only had a chance to try the pigeon one while I was "Sitting Month" in HK. That was sooo horrible... so when I knew Macau had the hospital one for rent I just had to get it, haha.
