there is a saying that the birds' nest is too rich in protein which is not suitable for babies under 1 yr old, especially those with eczema.

however, i still hear that some mothers feed their babies with birds' nest when the babies are just a few months' old.

for me, i take the former advice. I add in birds' nest into the congee only after my bb turned 1 year old.
