In the Western world, the term “Terrible 2” is used to describe children at age 2. You could tell from this term that parents with a 2 year old could have headaches all the time. Children at this age have to be disciplined. I read the book called “Raising a Happy, Unspoiled Child” by a Harvard Professor based on his 30+ years of experiences in child development. Common disciplinary measures include:
1.Make your child sit down, hold his shoulders and upper arms firmly with your hands to limit his movements for a few minutes. You remain silent during that time and then tell him if he does that again, you will do the same thing.
2. Put a gate in his room, you stay outside for a while.
3. Limit his access to his favorite toy for a short period.
The author suggests to discipline your baby starting 7 months old.
