- The weather is very very hot but the humidity is lower than HK, so feeling much better than in HK evern though is it hot.

- We have 8 persons (including 3 children and 2 elderly). We stayed in Swissotel The Stamford and Moevenpick for two nights each. Both hotels are good. The king size beds in both hotels can sleep at least 3 persons; the twin bed in Swissotel can sleep 1 adult + a chile, but the twin bed in Moevenpick cannot.

- We have bought packages for 6 persons and flight tickets for 2 children (4 & 9). Both hotels do not charge me extra cost for the buffet breakfast. The buffet breakfast in both hotels were nice, in particular Swissotel.

- Better stay behind for the Night Safari after visiting Singapore Zoo, as you have already taken a long travelling time to the Zoo. We take bus no. 138 to the Zoo and then take the SAEx bus from the Zoo to Swissotel direct ($4.5 for adult, $2 for child), travelling time about 40 mins.

- The water playing area in Port of Lost Wonder is almost the same as that in the Singapore Zoo. Since we have 3 children, we stayed in both areas for almost 2 hours in 2 separate days.

- For the Creature of Night Show in the Night Safari, go stright to queue up for the 7:30 show after you enter the Night Safari at 7:00. Otherwise, you will have to queue up for a very long long time for the next show, which is at 8:30.

- We have tried the butter crab and pepper crab in No Signboard. 2 crabs (each 1.2 kg) costed $130. They are delicious.

- For the Universal Studio Singapore, most of the games were only need to queue for 15 minutes. We left USS at 6 pm.

- Personally I do not like the food in Singapore in general, the food in HK 好食+唔貴+多元化十倍. 香港人, 請珍惜我們的所有, 不要太多埋怨.

Thanks for your sharing, I will go to SIN tomorrow and will stay 2 nights in Fairmont, 2 nights in Hard rock hotel. I will go to USS, Zoo, POLW also and play skyride and fun ride at Sentosa.

That's a good new that the queuing time at USS is not too long.

19:00 Dinner at food court at Marina Bay Sand [highly not recommended, as the location of the food court is situation at the far end of the mall, and the day we arrived was Sat, full of people.]

Day 2

11:30 Arrive at the Singapore Zoo (Lunch at KFC as it is situated next to the water playing area]
17:30 Dinner outside the Zoo
18:30 Waiting outside Night Safari
19:30 Creature of Night Show
20:10 Tram ride
21:20 Leave Night Safari
21:45 Take SAEx bus back to hotel

Day 3
09:00 Breakfast
10:00 Walking to Suntec City, Raffles Place Mall [actually very "moliu", but our elderly was afraid of the hot weather so we cancelled the visit to China Town.]

14:30 Port of Lost Wonder
18:00 Skyride and Luge
19:30 Dinner at No Signboard at Vivo City

Day 4
08:00 Breakfast
09:30 Waiting outside USS
10:00 USS [hurry to the Transformer first, see the watershow at 12:10]

18:00 Dinner at 鼎泰豐 [cos my family members did not want to have laksa and chicken rice again.]

Day 5

I also wanted to know more about Port of Lost Wonder. As I understand, it is for kids under 12 years of age. So, for the parents, do they just watch at the side?

How was the Skyride and Luge? Do you recommend it to families with kids?

I like HK. Singapore has its features too. Instead of complaining, I treasure on both places.

Port of Lost Wonder is suitable for your child who is 3 years old. Adult is allowed entry for free of charge, but adult must be in proper swimsuit if you want to accompany your child.

As for the skyride and luge, my son (who is 4 years old) requested me for playing more times after the first try. We bought the family combo for eight rides, so every one of us could play two times.

No free wifi in Moevenpick, need to pay. As far as I remember, SGD$10 for four hours, and over SGD$20 for 24 hours. After considering the cost, I did not use the wifi service.

In fact I did want to try more Singapore dishes and the hawker stalls, but you know, I had a large group (8 persons, comprising elderly and children), 耍左就右就, 冇計啦! Maybe next time, I think I will be back a few years later.

Ah, one more thing. If you have a large group like me, do request for connecting rooms. I requested both hotels to provide connecting rooms via e-mail before I fly, finally Swissotel could not arrange but Moevenpick could. The children were very happy because they could get through two rooms.

I also will stay at Swissotel Stamford on first 2 nights, I hope the hotel can waive the buffet breakfast for my kids as well.

Agree, but Kaya Toast in Singapore cannot be found in HK ... I like it very much ...
