I need to wait for my daughter to sleep in order to help her cut her hair when she was still 9 mths. Around 2 yrs old, I put her in the highchair, give her some of her favorite snacks and cartoon DVDs to remove her attention then I can cut her hair. My daughter didn't let me cut her nails too when she was that young. But after I've finished her potty training, she let me cut her nails in the washroom while she is poo pooing. I'll show her and tell her how pretty her hands are after cutting her nails and she loves it.
We cut the hair for BB several times lu. Daddy shaves his backhair while sitting on the toilet bowl. BB doesn't move too much, only a bit curious about the shaving sound and always turns around to look. I'm responsible to cut his front & top hair with scissors. He's a bit annoyed by that. Daddy has to hold him tight which makes him cry a bit and I have to cut it very very quickly. So far, looks not bad la.

My son (3.5 yrs now) refuses to have his hair cust at salon. From birth to now, we need to cut hair at home by his dad. Usually we'll ask the maid to hold him (take all his cloths off) and sit in the bath tub, so that the hair can be rinsed off immediately. He likes to move around, so it's not easy to cut it nicely.
But every time, we need a lot of energy to do this. Normally he need to cut his hair every 3 months.
