各位媽咪,
Amanda 老師打算要Amanda 學Suzuki, so, 佢要我哋幫Amanda買piano.. 因為keyboard 學壞手勢(其實Amanda只用新買嗰個casio 6星期).
校長叫我哋賣咗個keyboard.. 買一部2手 10左右嘅琴 either made in Koear or made in Japan ..
你她有冇好介紹..
我哋7月就要買到琴.. 好頭痛

naw. my husband wont sweet talk me too and i might feel weird if he does. i guess it all depends on the personality naw. it's nice that he wants to play the piano to your son la..a good daddy is usually also a good husband la. =)

the weber is at a good price and it sure looks nice on the website. good luck and enjoy playing it with your family!

Thanks for your recommendation ah. I think I'll go for the Weber since I check the piano bluebook and show that piano worth over $4000 ... but the store owner giving me the teacher price of $2700.

hey u r probably more experienced than i do...dont pretend to be a beginner woh ! =) of cuz guys r more 型 if he plays the piano and sings love songs to a girl la....is that how your husband gets u to marry him la haha.. u r very lucky la..my husband cannot even sing in tune......my oldest kid is so not talented in piano after spending yrs teaching him i finally give up however he's doing well in violin with his school orchestra and in sports..so i guess different kids have different talents naw..although forcing is good in a way but forcing in an area that the kid is good at is better la =) John Thompson books r a good start.

Actually I just don’t want to wait until Matt is old enough to learn then buy a piano, send him to lesson and tell him to practice every day. I rather he growth with a piano and in love with it, then teach him the skill when he is ready. I experienced that already, I learned for 8 years but that was forcing by my parents, and I was not too enjoy that before. I stop playing immediately when I left HK and move to US … kinda a release for me at that time. However, I really appreciate that my parents gave me a chance to learn when I was a kid coz I know not all parents want to spend that much of $$.
I bought a Disney song book and ready to practice again then play to Matt.

weber is I think another split of young chang just like my bergmann at a more affordable price. go for it ! again, make them including some tunings in the future. I'm longing for a grand piano when i went for piano exam when i was a kid...they have the most amazing yamaha grand with superb look and sound...i think they r going for over $14k, i could only afford a made in china one at half the price too haha.. your son is so young..well....although mozart is already composing at 4, =p maybe you could learn to play some songs for him at the moment =)

Ha ha … I think my son is not ready for this big furniture … he will become 1 yr old next Monday. However, we would like to have this big furniture at home for him as a toy to play with, make him feel playing piano is interesting, then start his lesson few years later. That’s the reason I don’t want a very good/expensive piano now.

i know suzuki is a method of violin teaching. i guess now it becomes a piano brand too...us teachers tend to go too easy on the kids. andrew learned for a couple years and i asked himto quit since i disagree with the way they teach.. but anyway, i would like to look for one that goes for the royal school of music exam.

most of them have the buy-back option. i am not sure if you r gonna move the piano once you have it in your house though haha..cuz it's so heavy and they probably would charge at least a thousand dollar just to move it.

this kinda unknown brands are mostly made in china brand with a german brandname. i personally have a made in china (young chang- Bergmann) baby grand and I paid over 7k for it so i am not totally against the made in china piano. some have good qualities too. have u tried comparing the sound quality with the henry miller one? can u tell the difference? if there's no big difference and u have to stick with your budget then u could go for it but ask them to give you some tunings. if u have extra $, then pick something in the 3k range. learning piano is not like sports u have to pratice everyday and it's very time consuming. make sure your kid is ready before getting a big furniture at home.

I listened to the Fischer and sons ... it is not too bad. Unfortunately, when I tried to find some more information online, it seems that is not a very common brand ... actually had you ever heard that breand? But what make me consider about that because of the price and the store said I can trade in the piano in the future and get 100% value go to the next piano purchase. I'm still 心大心細.

a new brand called suzuki .. sold online by Ebay.. is only USD$1,799.
teacher said.. not to go for it because of quality as well

Other than Yamaha and Kawai, what do you guys think about Fischer and sons and Henry Miller? I found a brand new Fischer and sons for $1999 & brand new Henry Miller for $3599 ... I can't make a decision!

老師要佢用 suzuki, note reading. 同level 1 exam 3本書一齊.. Amanda就好enjoy.. 我就一個頭兩個大..?!?

a Kawai upright.. Amanda loves it very much.. and it is affordable as well..

u dont need a super fancy one like steinway or baldwin. the one i have now is just a made in china one baby grand but u really need to go and listen and try to do a sound comparison. i wont suggest getting it from ebay. if you r gonna get a 2nd hand i would stick with yamaha. i used to have a stand up yamaha and it's very good quality and could last for years. and try making them including free tunings. tunings could easily go up to a hundred bucks each time.

今朝上完堂, 校長話Amanda 要買琴lu.. 俾佢揀過, either 2 手名廠, or Ebay 買新琴 (also USD$1800).

今日要去買琴書..
校長made sehedule 叫Amanda next spring 考level 1... 我話會唔會太急?? 佢話either next spring or fall 就一定考.. otherwise, Amanda會變番個普通人.. 6歲前要不停谷喎.. 咁咪好似填鴨??
