Is it necessary to hire 2 maids to take care of 1 newborn and 1 2yrs old child?

It seems that maid is not willing to take care of 2 children at the same time?

I have the same problems when my kids were small, my son born when my daughter is 14months

my maid can take care of them before my son 3 months (because he still sleep always), but when he grow older, she can't take care of them at the same time, so I quit my job to take care one kid.

if u can afford, hire 2 is ok. but i can assure u, 2 maids only equal 1.2 maid. no finished contract maid want to stay with another maid in house. even if the 2nd is new comer, need time to train too.

if yr mom or mom-in-law is willing to come to bring yr bigger kid to and from, then no need to hire 2, save some $

But most mom-in-laws nowadays are unwilling. but can be troublesome too, $ cannot compensate them for their time too, u know...

to carry "the NB to wet mkt buy grocery"? Even if the maid can do it, I wouldn't feel safe about it.

my current maid worked for a family with 2 kids (1 NB and 1 K1 kid). the parents have to work. my maid told me she carried the NB to wet mkt buy grocery, and took bus to pickup the K1 kid from school.
i can't imagine how she cld do this.

I always have doubts: how can the maid say go to toilet with 2 small kids on hand? And later on, when your bigger kid needs to go ECA, how would you cope with it? I have seen smaller kid playing on the staircases when the helper helping the bigger kid to get changed in the swimming pool.

If you can afford 2, hire 2 at least for the first 2 years.

my bro's maid is an experienced PH, she used to take care of 2 kids by herself.

if you can afford hiring 2 maids, it's much better, esp to ensure your kid's safety. i will hire 1 Indo and 1 PH, if from the same country, they will chit chat all the times.
however, if you have mum in law or mum to help out, case is different, then u can just have 1 maid.

even i m a FT mum, i have no faith to hire just 1 maid taking care of 2 kids (i will have a NB soon, and my girl will turn 2 y10mths when new baby comes out).

I don't think there is NO maid willing to look after 2 kids. 2 of my friends also employed a maid who is willing to do so. But both are Indonesia maid.

As I am working mama, my current maid's contract will be ended in May but she would not renew the contract with me. Actually, I hired a new and would come in April. However, the new maid doesn't want to come now as she's not willing to take care of 2 children. The agent always tells me that no maid is willing to take care of 2 children now. However, I really don't want to hire 2 maid at home as my home is not very big. Also, I don't want to settle any arguement between them.

Many working mum will employ 2 maids to take care 1 baby & 1 child (there are many in my living blocks), but for me, I am full time mom, 1 is enough. I have one friend who employ 1 indonesia maid alone to look after 1 baby & 1 3.5 years old child, she is okay because she is very smart. But SMART MAID is less.....
