I'm not sure if there is a direct correlation between the frequency of pumping and the milk quantity. My milk supply dropped a little, but just because I have gone back to work. You know, work pressure will affect the supply.
However I still recommend you don't wait for 12 hours before pumping, because it will increase your chances of getting mastitis. When I first got back to work, I pumped twice in the office (11:30 and 15:30). After 1 week, I changed and only pumped once at 13:30 and wait until I get home and 21:30 before I pump again. But after trying this for one week, I had mastitis. It was so painful, and I had high fever too. So, I think it's best to pump around every 4 to 5 hours, if possible.

Since i use a double pump, I will pump around 15 to 20 minutes. After that, I will manual squeeze milk from my breast for around 5 to 10 minutes. That way, it will 清左D奶.
Each time, I will be able to get around 5 to 6.5 oz (I'm not too rich). But of course, it differs from mami to mami.
