Oh I am so outdated tim.

My hubby had cut the cartoon network la (from sky).... so my kids don't watch much cartoons or TV nowadays!

Do u think we are abnormal family? No junk food, no TV most of the time?!

I think your hubby just done a great job, cartoon network is full of violence cartoons like Ben 10~terrible! Do you have Nick junior, boomerang, the cartoon in these 2 channels are more child friendly, also more educational, playhouse disney is very good too.

Do you know how to draw a number line?

Like draw a line with number (like those on a ruler) then ask your twins to draw some jumps in 2's.

Do this several times, when they can memorise the jumps, they can count in 2's.
After that, you can teach them the 2 times table cos it is the same logic.

u know they have to understand what does it mean 2 times table but not just memorising it!

we just went to that one close to us, the man from hk and the woman from china, they have 2 sons, the elder one is in y6, and younger one in y1, they go to the same school as twins, so sometime, I ask her and pick up our twins from school lor~

yes ar, they should already learm how to count in 2s, 5s, 10s when they were in year1. That's why they learn 2, 5 and 10 times table first

When kiyomi was young, she watched nick junior and cbeebies a lot!

Now only allow them to watch once a while ga jar.... like during half term or long holiday.....

Lucky you, someone can pick twins up sometimes for you. Ever since I moved here last year, no friend can help me pick kiyomi up from school la.......... Before where I live, I have 2 friends sometimes can offer help for me.......... but not now la!

Yes no TV during weekdays, not even Donovan but Donovan is not very keen on watching TV anyway. He prefers to play his toys like Lego.

I think that they have do this in school, I have saw they have write 2's times table at school, but whe I as them to memorize it, they won't, the tutor said to them, when they go to bed, they can memorize it, before they sleep, but they won't,too..............

Just draw a line like those on the ruler i.e. a line with number. So they can count in 2's (they can see the numbers on the line and count but not memorise it) and then draw the jump. When they are familiar with this, you can teach them to memorise the 2 times table.

Tell the tutor to teach them, tell him what is the problem u are facing when teaching them. U know u pay him for teaching your daughters, otherwise why pay?

Yes ar but sometimes there is something I need to deal with ga ma like if Donovan is ill, I don't need to take him out to pick Kiyomi up........
And with urgent case, I can leave my kids in my friends' house, but I can't now, they are too far away!
