研究人員表示，一些以嬰兒為對象的電視節目及電腦遊戲，例如「愛因斯坦寶寶」(Einstein Baby)，均聲稱有助於嬰兒智力發展，完全無科學根據，反而唯一有證據證明的是，兩歲以下幼童常看電視，會影響日後的注意力集中和智力發展。他表示，即使如《芝麻街》這類一般認為對3歲以下幼童認識數字及英文字母有益的電視節目，[size=large]也與幼童日後語言發展遲緩和較具攻擊性有關。
