There is a TV programe "super Nanny" in Pearl showing every Friday at 8:30 about parenthood, she use a very similar method to handle the naughty kids - bring the naughty kids to a "naughty room" until they calm down. This seems to be work, in another chat room some parents said it is not necessary to hv an extra room to punish them, just draw a circle and ask them to stay inside the circle also OK, some even just ask the kids to face to the door until they calm down. Anyway, I think the key point is find a place to let the child to calm down and let them know that if they are naughty they hv to face the same consequence.

我hubby三年前在香港既分公司做ga, 後來被relocated to work in taipei, 之後又relocated to shanghai...如果可以, 我都好希望公司再叫佢返香港做

始終香港係自己既motherland呀, imported items又多, price is reasonable! 但是在shanghai, imported items are unreasonable expensive!

我反而鍾意去上海, 我以前出trip 去上海, 覺得好正, 好多好地方. 當然如果長住又可能個感覺唔同. 好似我老公係香港住左成十年, 都仍然好唔鍾意呢度, 所以成日都咁燥 :-| :-| 不過如果叫我返德國就慘喇, 直頭悶到嘔呀. 我每年返去探老爺住成2-3星期, 真係好痛苦

我今日好唔開心，擒晚同個工人傾完，以下係我地既對話：

老公：你係米有野唔開心呀？
工人：我每次放假太太就 long face 咁對我，我好唔開心。
我：我 long face 對你係因為你早上 8:00 出去就晚上 10:30 至返。
工人：工人放假係二十四小時，我都已經出去前幫太太整定要做粥仔既材料。
老公：我地因為擔心你怕你會有事，所以想你早少少返。
工人：你地唔洗擔心我，我會照顧自己。
老公：我地係怕你去到咁夜，又邊會夠精神照顧 Esme。
工人：Is o.k.，我得家。
老公：同埋我地發覺到你無以前咁勤力。
工人：我唔開心，又點可以專心做野。
我：我有 d 朋友既工人會係放假個日自動自覺早上 6:00 起身拖地、煲水、洗同蒸 milk bottles、feed BB 第一餐奶、整定要做粥仔既材料。
工人：Sorry, I don't do that. Are they 印尼？
我：No，係菲律賓。
工人：She is lucky. Maybe next time you can try the 菲律賓工人。
我：我地就係唔想你唔開心，所以唔會時時話你。

The first month I came to Shanghai, I also thought that the place here was pretty good! But, once I went shopping in supermarket and department store, I was super disappointed!!! Most of the items are from China (e.g. baby food), even though they are cheap, but quality is a big concern! If wanna buy imported ones, we have to spend at least double price of it's orignal cost...So, in SHA we could save money more as we don't wanna buy such imported items under unreasonable price! Now, I have to ask my and hubby's friends to bring the formula milk here once they come to visit SHA...really inconvenience

However, there are many foreigners & mixs living in Shanghai. I have met one Thai woman who married with German, and they have one daughter. The gal is quite similar as yours, who looks so charming and cute ga

wahoo..it's really difficult to catch up with all the conversations, I've to work part time in the morning and take care of the kids in the afternoon that don't have much time on line. :-(

ok la..don't bother with that. well..I always tell others i'm the maid at home instead, since I can't offend her too much in case she ran away suddenly. I had an experience that my maid went back home for holiday and didn't come back so I don't dare to have any big quarrel with her. sigh... :cry:

Hi Kaczan,
I've also seen the programme. I feel relieved that my kid is not the most terrible in the world!!
actually, I tried the method asking him facing the door, but he's v. stubborn and just stay there and still don't feel sorry!! sigh..I really don't know how to handle him. He's just not listening to me at all, never go to eat, bath or tidy as I asked.
