sorry to tell you that there is only one kitty left....the kitty with two blue eyes just couldn't make it yesterday.....like a week ago..my hubby told me that "blue" is throwing up some white bubbles..not looking good....and yesterday she didn't respond my breakfast call in the morning....I was wondering why....because those two kittes will run into my backyard door once I open it.....and lateron...she just lie down there....not moving quite well ...eyes looked so sad....and then I asked my hubby to take care of her at night :-( :-( :-(

I told my husband BK mami's thinking on that. As I said, my husband is very Chinese ma

he has some demand on kids. He want them can speak, read and write Chinese. That's why he doesn't want them go too early. He agree if they come too late, it may have a hard time for them at first. When he came to US for his graduate degree, he had a hard time too. But he is very stubborn, he think if he can overcome it then his kids should be OK too.

. My youngest daughter is only 18 months younger than my son. Although they always flight, but when they play together, they have so much fun and they looks like twins. Sometimes, if only one is left at home, I feel he/she is bored.

The job prospects in Austin are not good, we have lot of friends who had been lay off, most of them are in the high tech field. I have friends who had been lay off for months and can not find a job! Are you looking for job opportunities in the Austin area?

My sister came to USA when she was 17 yrs old.
Now she is a CPA and Hayden M came to USA for studying her BA degree. (She finished her High School dipolma in HK ka. You can see how woderful she is.)
I finished my high school in USA but I am...........................a stupid...........C9 now.

helloruby, ym: I came here first through an exchange student program. (I can send you some info if you like) That's why I studied in a US high school for one year before I went to college.

IC: I am so jealous of you la, I am still waiting for my $$, so I guess you got $800? That's a lot of $$ ar

mrs.leung: Ar I don't want my responsibility la. :-P But I am applying for jobs at some brokage houses here in Houston, near Chinatown area. A lot of chinese people here like to buy stocks and investments. I think I really like financial planning, so this might be a good opportunity for me to change my career. My coworker (who went to UT Austin) says Austin is a beautiful place, MUCH BETTER than Houston (no traffic, better air, better schools, etc). Houston ISD is very messed up, and fortunately our school district is separate from HISD. So I told my husband if he can get another job somewhere else, we can move. But job market is VERY Slow right now. He saw a job in Torrance, CA yesterday, he might go give it a try. But I don't want to live in $$$$$$ california la... :-P

whalebb: is Torrance near by LA? I am not very smart la, I think Asian students in general are better in school than "Americans", because the parents are more strict and emphasize education more.

A career with a brokage house sound great, I think you would make a great financial planner, you always giving us good financial tips!!!

Austin is a great city with new family, but it still has a share of traffic problem (all texas' big cities has traffic problem, I used to live in Arizona, it has "no" traffic problem at all! ).

The air might be a "bit" better than houston!!! I don't know how the school district in Houston, but it's depend on where you live in Austin also! The high schools my girls will be attending is pretty good, it ranks top 100 in the nation, therefore it is very competitives. Most of the students are Asian(that included Indian), like you said, most Asian' parents are very strict and demanding, they all push their kids real hard!!!

We had an opportunties to move to California once, but the houses there were too small and too expansive and we were already used to everything "Texas size"! :-P :-P :-P
My in-laws live in northen California, they always wanted us to move closer to them, but the houses there are just too expansive!

Are you going to shop for "tax free" days this weekend?

Currently I am remodeling my house, so $800 is nothing to me la, when will you receive yr refund check is depended on yr social security # (the last 3 (or 4??) digits), thus I receive my check earlier than others.

because my first job was a tour escort. All of my tours were Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket. And my honeymoon, and 1 anniversary were chosen there too. I feel that Thailand is my second home. About your friend, it is depend on her body situation. I suggest your friend to ask her doctor before she decides to go or not. I had a long flight when I was pregnancy18 weeks ago. Of course, I checked my doctor before I went.
