toronto, not very boring, but just rountine lor.

I like green tea ka, so my mom stock up diff types of green tea and let me bring over - I bought total 12 pack of green tea over - and give away 8 packs to friends and colleague, leaving 4 packs for us to drink - good enough for at least 1 year.

you don't have any problem ma, as your "lo" is canadian so no big deal if you come here now or later.

just take good care of your "little one" and keep in touch nor.

my weekly schedule :

mon - fri : go to work

after work (sometimes go library on my way to pick up my girls) :
mon - home
tue - girl guides / brownie meeting (for my daughters)
wed - organ lesson at home (my daughters)
thur - home
fri - T&T

sat - driver all day (chinese class / piano lesson / maths class) 10 am to 4:30 pm
sun - home

no entertainment for me
:-( :-(

if i am canadian citizen already, my "lo" pr only, now give up his status. is it if he returns to canada later, he can apply for pr again, as i am citizen already??

Hi all,

I don't live in TO now but used to live there....I got married and is staying in HK with my husband and my baby boy. What a contradiction, I miss TO very much!!!

My parents are living in Hwy 7 and Kennedy, opposite to "Mongkok" shopping center. Heheeeee....a lot of Hong Kongese are staying in that area lar...

we bought 5 lbs of those pork jerky. 1lb to my "lo" brother, 1lb to our 3 monster. 1lb to share by friends and colleague, the other 2 lbs - I don't know where they go.. as I hardly found them at home - most likely in my "lo" stomach already..

Winnie - my "lo" will never go back to HK, as no more job for him - a Old man with "50" age... so never thought about such.

Hey doggie - how are you? Long time no talk la, so envy you can go to HK, my mom always wants me to go back w/ the kids, so they can play them, my girl is 5 now, later when they grow up that's another stage. But no time, no money, so no talk!!!!

Busy after school starts, both of them go to piano lessons, chinese school on Saturdays, my son goes indoor soocer, my girl goes sparks(girl guide), always driving here & there w/ the monster shouting, fighting, arguing at the back seat. Though my girl is in K now, but only half day, 830 to 1112, work at that time, and rush back to pick up her, make lunch, and then my son ends school at 231, then that's the bargain tiime - take shower, homework, dinner, go to bed!!!!!

Still a long way to go!!!

I'm a new comer in Canada and this topic. I've one daughter 11 yrs old. She is studying in G6.

I have no relatives in here. Parents and good friends are in H.K. I don't know which area is better and which school is good for children. Private school or public school, which is better?

which area are you in? are you renting or owning your home? public school admission is related to your address. if you wish to find a better school, you need to move to the community of that school.
i am in scarborough area, and my girls are in a catholic school. my elder daughter is in G.6 too. can your daughter adapt to french lesson at school? since she starts late for french if not knowing any french in hk.

glad to see the topics got active again - I was afraid we will lost this as no one response - but me :-(

Calgary - nice to know everything is o.k. to you - busy means you and your family are around doing good.

if you were me - no relative and friends here - guess to visit HK every two years or so is not too much - especially we don't have any kid - so only 2 of us. but getting old la, the long flight drive us crazy.

nowaday - my 'lo" wish to play badminton on Monday night too. so 3 times a week - seems too much for me, but got no choice. just go whenever he goes :-( :-(

哈哈，您又講中我係加國既生活喇，我咪又係，咩野人都吾識，又吾識楂車，隻佬又鍾意4圍去，晚晚都跟佢去到 3更半夜，我揀直想 c 呀。。 :-( :-( :-(

終於有 1次，我忍吾住，返到屋企喊，佢先知咩野事，之後，佢識睇我面色，知到幾時應該走就走喇 ~~~~ :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

It's renting. I am living in Richmond Hill. my girl is studying in public school now. She had french lesson in HK's French council before we come. If she don't understand, her classmates will translate with English.

I have known one mother on Parent's day. She told me that the difference with private school and public school for the level of Maths. The private school's level is higher than public school. How do I know which high school is better ? Should I move to that area ? Is it depands on your address ?

Of course private school is better as they paid more for the school fee

for the public school or catholic school (as ckkwkl) said, no need to paid any school fee.

to my understanding, catholic school is more discipline than the general public school. so if you are catholic, better send your kids to catholic school.

for the public school - yes, you could only select those school in your living area, so it is simply like HK, move to the area where the education board is better managed.

I lived in Markham, people are dashed to the unionville high school, while some of my colleague said North york is also good too.
