I and my hubby have been here almost 1yr and 4mth..haha..very short ney....I was pregnant when I came to US around 1mth..Maybe we were very happy in Disney trip ...hehe...
I've been Bronx Zoo twice. We joined its membership cos it is close to our home... then we can easlier to arrange the time....U know la, we have to to consider my BB b4 we do everything....hehe...
We also dont have "2ppl world" for a long time la...we can only watch DVD when my son goes to sleep jar...so we usually spend few days to finish a movie....

pepsii:
U got 7 mths la...wow...Are U getting nervous? As CUTIE_MOMMY said, U have to go out more with your hubby ar....otherwise, U won't have time gar la after your bb arrived....

Remodeling just completed. I spend more than $20,000 ah. I need to save some money now!

Hehehhehe, Horace is made in Disney ha, he must one happy kid! :-P.
Now whatever we do and wherever we go, our son is the priority, the only time we got alone is when he is asleep too. Lucky that sometimes my family will look after him and me and my hubby can sneak out a little while.

Happy Birthday to Fat Bean!! 1st birthday is very important, we just had gone to my son's cousin 1 year old birthday on Sat. too, his parents had thrown him a real big party. How did you celebrate Fat Bean's special day?

If you want to potty trained your son, everyone who take cares of him need to participate. That's mean not only nanny, you also. (I believe weekend is your turn right?! ) My sister in law has spent a whole year potty trained her daughter because her MIL is the one who take cares of the gal but she is too lazy to do the training so it was only my sister in law doing it and it made the little gal very confused and I am not kidding, it took her whole year to have it done.
Seriously, I think your son is still too young for the pee pee part, maybe just consider of the poop part first if he has the regular schedule everyday.

it's so amazing about bb kicking and moving in my tummy.. :-P :-P my bb moves a lot...night and day.... :-P :-P I enjoy the kicking very much...but my hubby never get a chance to feel it...might be he is not patience or lucky enough...sometimes he put his hand on the left side and bb kicking on the right side.... and he try to listen to bb's heartbeat but never hear anything

b4 I am so worry about who is going to take care my bb
1~~ b4 I get pregnant...two of my sister inlaw said they will take care bb..but when I confirmed that I was pregnant....they both keep their mouth shut....and I'm afraid to ask them... :-( :-(
2~~my mom already taking care my niece, she is 19 months old but she is very active..and my mom keep saying that she can not handle anymore baby....and she always said how poor someother grandma have to take care two or three grandchildren....so I assume that she is not able to help me
3~~my MIL lives in Manhattan ..and it's hard to travel during rush hours...
and it's seems like none of my relative can help me out...and last sunday when I was in my mom's house I said something like how much I have to spend on babysitters and all the sudden she ask me why I have to spend money on babysitters and she said :"I thought I have to take care the bb" and ask "you don't turst me to take care your bb???"
and then I said you are the one always complain that it's too much to take care more than one bb so I told her I'm afraid to ask you to take care my bb and it's not because I don't trust you...
anyway it's a big relief for myself....I don't have to worry how nice or how bad the babysitters will be :-P :-P :-P

hayden's ma:
my big tummy become bigger and bigger....and I get tired very easy and don't be jeously ...new york is always welcome YOU>>>>

When she was moving, my hubby was holding my tummy tidely with tearing.

pepsii: BB will be very elusive until 8-9 months, when you can see her elbow moving across your tummy! Very funny feeling. Do you work in the office?

whalebb: chestnut cake sounds yummy ar, did Fat Bean like to eat cake? Did you get her any presents?
I don't know what to get Hayden B for his birthday. I told my MIL that Hayden B wants US Savings Bonds for college $$! :-P

Layoff rumors still looming in the company. Supposedly Aug 15 is the last day.... I hope my hubby and I won't get laid off ... :-( :-( :-(

I know about how tired it is to hold BB all the time! My arms are almost bigger than my hubby's because I have to hold Hayden B all the time ar.
Have you tried BB teething biscuits? Hayden B likes Gerber's wagon wheels. He is still eating them. He has 6 teeth now.
Is your son rolling over yet?

I hope Fat Bean had a real happy birthday! My twins girl's birthday is coming up also, they have been asking me what I'll be giving them for their birthday? They said they WANT "build a bear", "roller blades","sleep over parties", "pool parties"....etc. All these demands, I asked them do they know who work the hardest on the date they were born? "I AM" I said! So, I make them take out their allowances and buy me something or take me out to dinner to "HONOR"me on their birthday!!!

I hope everything will turn out fine for you and your husband! Do you and your husband work for the same company?!

You can try by putting the teething ring in the refrigerator, so you can give your baby a cool teething ring when your baby is fussy!

Teething is a big event for out little ones , did he has any fever, diarrhea? I assumed this must be his 1st teeth huh?! It will get better after he has the 1st one and as soon as it cut through the gum (it sounds really painful and actually IT IS!!) Just be patience and you might get some sleepless nites too and it just part of the process.

Congratulations la, I think the best thing is our own mothers take care of our kids. My mom took care of my son till he is 1 and then is my sister. I can say whatever I want to my mom and express my feelings completely. :-P. My mom did a real good job for me and I really appreciated what she has done.
I heard about the Bronx zoo free admission thing too but not too sure either.

Don't worry, you are so smart and I am sure your hubby is even smarter than you (in order to marry someone like you, he must be damn clever)
You both don't have too worry a bit for the layoff issue la.

Does anyone know if I am taking the stroller with me to the airport, am I able to check that out by the gate ( I don't think I can carry that on the plane right?) or I have to check that out when we checking in for the seatings? Thanks.

I think they usually allow you to take the stroller into the gate, and they will take it down to the baggage area for you just as you enter the plane. They will have the stroller ready for you by the gate again when you leave the plane!

also bb will have bad temper during teething too.

Hayden B is so cute ar...Yes ar....my arm is like my son ar "growing up together"...haha..
My BB have tried BB teething biscuits but I have to watch him to eat every time...because he can bite the biscuit into a little piece, I'm afraid that makes him choking ar....He can roll over la so he falls from the sofa or bed few times la....I have to watch him every mins ar...very tired and worry him ar...:-(

I've tried to give him a cool teething ring la...but the edge is sharp ar...cuts his mouth ar....Wuwuwu...so I give finger biscuit to him...and use cotton and my finger to massage his gum....

U're right..this is his 1st teeth ar...I don't have a good sleep for a long time la....and now even worse ar....he woke up at night at 3 times every night....so I feel very sleepy each day..haha...So far, he didn't have fever or diarrhea (touchwood)....but lose temper easily....It's not easy to be a mother ar....

Yes ar, there's a free admission on Wed but the Zoo expects U have donation when U visit....I think U can feel the BB movement...so enjoy it la..it's very interesting gar....

Arr... hope your BB wasn't hurt rolling off the bed la.. Hayden B rolled off our bed one time, he cried for 5 seconds (!) and then he is playing as usual. I was the one that was crying! The doctor says he is fine tho. Yes you will have to watch BB when eating teething biscuits la... in fact you have to watch him ALL the time anyways. :-P Since Hayden B has 6 teeth, he enjoys biting cheerios in half (I hold the cheerio for him) and makes the crunchy noise. I heard that teething rings put in refrigerator works too, but I was afraid it will be too cold for his hands.

mrs.leung: I agree with you that birthdays should celebrate US- the mommies! My MIL already planned a HUGE b-day party for Hayden B, inviting her friends and relatives... I just afraid Hayden B will freak out, seeing all those strangers... :-(
Work is still slow... I started reading some books at the company library to kill time... and go on BK!
My hubby and I work at the same company. We met at work... so I think I really should change jobs so that we will be more "diversified" But the benefits is super here in this company so I don't really want to give that up. :-(

whalebb: don't worry la.. Fat Bean is using all her energy to grow her body instead of teeth may be.. :-P

cutie_mommy: what about car seats? We are travelling in November too, and we are going to bring Hayden B's stroller along... but I am not sure about car seat... should I ask my MIL to buy/ borrow one? Also does the stroller count as a carryon or checkin luggage???

pepsii: Mango cake sounds DELICIOUS ar... I love mango ...... I even tried to grow mango tree in the yard... But I just read a book saying mango tree from seeds will take 10 years to start bearing fruit! :-x :-x :-x I will be super old then! :-x Are you eating a lot of sweets? When I had Hayden B, my favorite sweet is .... KITKAT!!! I can eat 5 bars a day... that's why I was +53lbs... :-(
