對不起，你寫的大致上都沒有錯，但我要將ipcam的port一起設定至你想set的port位(ie: 7000)。我都set了很長時間才成功，但原來問題是要set ipcam's port to the same as router.

不過，有朋友說這問題大概是我的router問題。Anyway, 我希望可幫到和我一樣的網友。

我上年九月係你公司(深水埗)分店買左部Seteye IP Cam3 + router , Sales 哥哥話祇要Office router無set firewall 無block 到任何既port 就一定可以係office度用到, 而佢亦都話set 好哂所有野，回家就可以用了。不幸地，返到屋企上個domain 無野睇，即刻打比sales , 佢教我係電腦set D野, 傾左幾次電話都係唔得，佢叫我羅番部機落舖頭。第2日，Sales 哥哥set 好D野又話OK拉, 唉! 又唔得, 佢叫我錢換果部ROUTER, 因為部 ROUTER 唔SUPPORT 網上行喎, 換左之後就一定得。
結果又唔得, 打比SALES 佢開始收口吻拉(有D覺得煩), 話所有野都SET 好, 你不如去代理(SHxxTING)度問下拉 ( 後來先知道係DVCLUB 既母公司)。

結果我特登請假1天，帶同部CAM 到SHXXTING既長沙灣OFFICE樹, 足足坐係度等左 2 個鐘，番到屋企終於可以用DOMAIN 來睇拉，郁下郁下機，依…有D唔對路, 支 CAM 向上郁到, 但係向下就CLICK 住 CLICK 住，我打番比SHXXTING 既Technical support, 佢叫我帶番上去換個部。所以又要向公司請半日假上shxxting。換個部新cam 後., 以為可以係公司安安樂樂睇到屋企既情況，點知入到去, 畫面漆黑一片，我又打番去technical support 問, 佢話係佢公司睇到, 應該唔關佢地事，真吹脹。我公司屬於小型公司，對於員工上網無咩大限制，而我亦問過公司既 I.T. 同事, 佢話公司無BLOCK 到任何既PORT 或裝了FIREWALL。我部 CAM 最終既結果係從來無用過…….放置於屋企既床下底。

亞海, 可能你覺得我講既事情有點誇張同巧合，亦會懷疑我是否行家 BAD MOUTH 你地，但事實如此… 我亦曾經係B.K 度尋求解決方法, chpyeung 亦解答過我, 不過都係唔得。

成件事，我浪費不祇是金錢亦浪費了我不少既時間:
CAM $1300 + ROUTER $200 + 我家(青衣) 至SHAMSHUIPO 來回車費 X 3 , 青衣至長沙灣來回車費 X 2 + 1.5 日假, 。

其實, 我係質疑sales 哥哥係咪為左做成單生意, 而亂介紹的 PRODUCT 比人客 , 為左沽清 D 舊貨。不過成件事最傻都係我, 太心急買野, 同太信 sales 講野…… (無辦法拉, 我係I.T. 文盲)

What is the brand and model of your router?

Because normally router should support change of ports when forwarding, so you can assign different port numbers for WAN port and LAN port. i.e. you still use port 80 in IP-CAM setting, but in router, you change LAN port 80 of your IP-CAM LAN IP to port 7000 of your WAN IP.

我想買2-3個,可收音,要夠清晰,可上網及同時用手機睇(GPRS),亦可同時讓多人login既cam丫,請問有咩好介紹?
我電腦麻麻地,所以都好依賴人地幫我SET好晒一返屋企插住就用得果種.

同埋睇左咁耐最唔明有關用PCCW上網果部份,因為我都係PCCW用戶,所以有好大既CONCERN怕買左成SET CAM用唔到囉.

最後,係咪用IP CAM除左俾寬頻費用之外,無任何月費要付的呢? 唔該晒你!

Unless their server is down at the time you test it, it is very likely that the model you are saying (Seteye 670W) does not support viewing at your office network. (But maybe other models of Seteye works, as quite a lot of brands just same OEM products)

1. Basically very IP-cam supports viewing from internet/LAN (that's why it calls IP-CAM) and allows multiple logins at the same time, but support on audio and mobile phone viewing depends on models.

2. To help you understand, let's say IP-CAM is very similar to a web server showing you a webpage. Web-browsing use HTTP protocol which use port 80 as standard, and when we type in the address of webpage (http://test-server) the browser will access port 80 of web server 'test-server'. If we type in 'http://test-server:81', the browser will access to port 81 of 'test-server'. In PCCW's case, because PCCW does not want home users to setup a webserver (to host webpage, which business user normally will do to advertise his business), it blocks port 80 so if you use PCCW's home broadband service and setup a webserver that use port 80, it won't be accessible. The alternative is to use other ports, say port 81. And everyone who wants to access to your webpage need to add ':81' after the web-address. (i.e. http://test-server:81)

As you use PCCW (I believe it will be home broadband, not commercial), you need to use other ports for setting up your IP-cam, say port 7000 in previous case.

Generally the use of other port numbers for webpages has no effect at all. But for some company, their firewall may be set in a way that only webpages using port 80 is allowed. In that case, either the office firewall or PCCW will block the traffic to IP-CAM regardless of models and nothing can be done. (except ask the network administrator to change the firewall rules, or change the home broadband to other ISP, say I-cable which does not block port 80)

3. Yes. Recurrent cost is only broadband charge and electricity.

2)係咪用邊隻router牌子都得？會唔會好似ipcam咁係office睇唔到?
3)Homeplug係咪代替條lan線?咁咪可以唔洗買無線ipcam？
4) ipcam本身都要電源，但我想放係燈槽，不過燈槽無插頭，有冇方法可以解決? (我唔想拉拖板或搵水電師父)

係你度買Panasonic BL-C10、Katy爸爸介紹既router(Linksys - wrt54g)同一對Homeplug(Aztech – HL105EW)分別要幾錢?
係咪會幫我set好哂，拎番屋企插掣就用得？因為我地好c架！:-(

冇矛盾喎!

Limitation 1. You use IMS -> IMS blocks port 80 -> 你可以用任何一個其它port -> e.g. port 7000.

Limitation 2. 如果你公司blocks all ports except 80 for web browsing -> 你只可以用port 80.

之前話將IP Cam 個port set 去 7000 是 for limitation 1 only. 如果你

1. 基本上屋企是一定睇到的. 如果office睇到,除非是我上一個post所寫的情況 (Limitation 1 + 2),否則都okay.
2. Router 要有port forward 的 function. 原則上絕大部份市面上的router 都有. Linksys WRT54G is good.
3. 是代替連接不同房間的LAN線, 但你依然要用LAN線連接HomePlug 及 IP-cam.

我地今日見到2枝IPcam支援PoE:
1)黃金商場 - MAX-PT300 ($1580) 我見shop.esd.life.com都有得賣同介紹。
2)298電腦特區 - Digi View NetEYE ($980)。
可唔可以一試呢？

另外我老公最驚係office睇唔到，2枝IPcam都無demosite！但係佢可以係office用msn傾計(無用過webcam)，我同事話用到msn等於好多port nos.都冇block到，係咪真架？
至於去dyndns.com 開左個Hostname 見到個IP Address係咪等於成功啦?跟住買埋router加支cam，就可以上網去Hostname 到睇畫面架？
最後關於Dynamic DNS 到時到候又要renew架?有冇通知同點攪架？全部都係英文加埋我又c :-( ，睇到頭都暈！

兩枝cam我都未試過, no comment. 我用緊的係 Vivotek PT-7137, (around $2000, wireless model), 可外加PoE module. 有本港代理test site (Click Here)

MSN 可用不等於IP-cam一定可看, 因為用的port是不同的,而且MSN識自己揀port, IP-cam一定要自己set.

至於dyndns.com, 你開左個Hostname 見到個IP Address只代表你的hostname登記成功,已攪掂一半, 還有以下步驟

1. 首先set好router同cam, 令你在屋內電腦可以看到. (This part is easy, default setting of router and cam should work)

2. 在router setup page, 找DDNS page, 揀 dyndns, 入 username and password then save. Router will report the IP automatically to dyndns when WAN IP is changed.

3. 在router setup page, 找 port forward page, 加一條entry 將 IP-cam 用的 port forward 去 IP-cam 個 LAN IP address.

4. 如正確無誤, 你應可以在街外PC的IE上打你dyndns登記的hostname 加 IP-cam 個port number去你個IP-cam.

5. Router 應該識自動renew的. 你亦可以上dyndns個網頁手動renwew. 如果就黎expire, dyndns 會send email 提醒你renew.

yap...till now i only find this brand has HTTP protocol supported...

indeed, i'm much appreciated with the sole agent as they help me to test it for a long time using the beta firmware before the launching of the official firmware...

i'm now using two ip cams to watch my bb at office...

unfortunately, for my wife, she still can't view the streaming... it seems that her office blocked the installation of active x

finally, i've made use the picture captured to create a page for her viewing and automatically refresh it every 5s
