When my son was in hospital this July, he was on spray every 1.5 hours then 2 hours then 3 hours, then 4 hours. He was hospitalized for 3 days. No medicine bor.
He is now on the brown spray 3 times a day. 2 presses each. He was on 2 times a day before he went to hospital. He has no flareup since he was out of hospital.
Everytime he was admitted to hospital because he'd got 肺炎 and throat problem and fever. Doctor said he was not only 氣喘, so that he need to take both, medicine and spray.
I'd some questions to doctor when he was in hospital.
1. Was it useful to have an X-ray evertime? They said "To make sure that he hadn't SARS and the fast method to 斷証. "
2. Will X-ray and medicine dose (4 times in one year)cause bad effect to a little boy who was only 2.5yrs old? They said "The lesser was the best, but could not avoid to use medicine and X-ray."
Well kids tend to grow out of it. I read that 80% of asthmatic kids would grow out of it between 6 to 18 years old. And unfortunately there are more asthmatic boys than girls.
Is he average on height? My son was 6.3lbs when he was born. Now he is 35 lbs. He is on 90% weight line but 75% on height.
Yes, he is above average. I think he is on 90% or 95% line now. How old is your son? I have 2 boys, the younger one is 2 1/6 yrs old.
I plan to buy a new vacuum cleaner to clean up the house and air. The salesman showed me this Sunday, but the price quite expensive, it costs HK$18,720. He showed me the result, it is better than OSIM one (my existing cleaner) and many hotels are using this. Hope that really help my elder son.
You are right! He is Okay now. But he is still keep on touch with his doctor every 12 weeks. Actually he is not often having flareup this half year. Hope that he can keep... la.
I have no air purifier. Because I think that it is not good. I don't want to keep the motor working inside the room. Long long time ago (about 15yrs ago kwa), a teacher told me that some ions (I forgot it is +ion or -ion) near the motor (esp. purifier), that made everything change (ie. chemical reaction).
