Is Hayden your MIL's first grand child? That might be the reason why she is so excited about his first birthday! Do your in-laws live in Texas also?!
I don't know the car seat or stroller count as a carry on or not? I've seem people check in their car seat and stroller at the gate, and they'll bring the car seat and stroller up from the baggage area when you leave the plane!

The children now a day is so spoil, always "I WANT THIS", "I WANT THAT" all the time! My children have me pick them up in the "air condition" car right in front of their school, if I make them walk a little distance to the park lot, they complaint!

pepsii: I've never tried "lung Po" mango B-cake ar....but "Fei Tat" cake shop in china town is also very good gar....

Wow...U ate a lot Kitkat when U was pregnant....I also wanted to eat sth sweet but my hubby was not allowed me to do so ar....I liked soda, orange juice, sweet soup....but I dont crave them anymore after I gave birth..haha....I lose 2 lbs at 1st few mths....then my hubby "forced" me to drink whole milk so I started to gained weight....finally, I gained 30 lbs ar....Now, I'm 118 lbs ar...still have to loss 10 more lbs in order to return to original weight ar....
Besides, U said U'll travel in Nov....I know that , U can take either car seat or stroller or diaper bag as hand-carry if U have BB, besides the carry on luggage....but U can ask the airline co. or agent....

my BB fell from my bed twice last week....I was very sad and worried him very much...I didn't use the bed rail cos the length is not long enough to cover my bed....so I worry him very time he goes to sleep..I don't know when he will wake up...once he wakes up, he will crawl ....

I remember I have asked the airline. If you carry on the car seat on the plane and put your baby in the car seat. Your baby have to purchase child ticket instead of baby ticket.

We carry on our stroller to the plane. It's OK, but you better give it to airhostess at the entance because you don't need that anymore in the plane and it's not convenient to carry the stroller in the plane. They will give you back the stroller when you step down the plane.

Your bb does not like his crib? My babies don't like either when they were small. They always like to sleep on my bed. Usually I sleep with them and wake up with them. Sometimes, I put a folding mattress on the floor and let them sleep on the mattress.

Hi! I've never talked to U ar...hehe...
I don't know whether he likes it or not ..but he can sleep longer if he sleeps on our bed....I must put him sleep on his crib at night....I don't have a folding mattress ar....Now, I use more pillow and comforter to surround him....I hope it works la...cos he still cant crawl very good...but later maybe I try to think of your method...

mrs.leung: yes Hayden B is both sides first grand child so every one is spoiling him rotten! We are going to FL to see his grandma in Nov for his b-day party. She is really excited about it..

All: even my own mom says I will look HORRIBLE in the chinese wedding dress :-( because of my sagging stomach :-( :-( :-( need to start losing weight... any good ideas? I don't really have time after work at all. I managed to go out for a walk with my sister yesterday, but that's because my mom already cooked dinner for us. What am I going to do after they all go back to HK? :-( :-( :-(

Rabbit: it is okay, BBs are quite tough and sturdy. Hayden B rolled off his bed couple times and cried for 2 seconds and then he is moving on to something else... But I understand you tho.. I felt like I was a bad mother for not watching him closely.
But Hayden B learned how to climb out of his bed safely now. He is going to walk soon!

helloruby: how are you? thanks for the info.. I think I will just ask my MIL to borrow or buy a car seat because she is going to need it again when my hubby and I have the wedding reception (belated) next year. :-P it is a hassle to carry so many things to the airport

My baby boy is 7 months now, he has roll off our sofa one time last month, he cried for 1 sound. When he sleeps on my bed, I also use pillows to surround him. His teeth is coming out, he likes to bite my nipple while BF. I blame him and he always smile with「好得戚」.

Babies all like to sleep on parent's bed ma. My younger daughter, she is now 3 years old, she still wake up every midnight in her room and crawl into our bed and sleep ah. he~he~

You did not have your wedding banquet when you get merry? So, next year when you have your wedding reception, your baby can be your 花仔, so cute.

When I get merry, we don't have any reception either. My husband just graduated from college when we get merry, he didn't have any money ma. :-P Do you know what he suggested on my birthday? He took all of us to the driving range!

I already having big headache over this whole wedding reception thing already. Besides the dreaded wedding dress, I worried about the $$$. Good thing is I told my hubby to hint to my MIL not to choose fancy stuffs... hopefully that will keep the budget in check.
Your hubby is so... my hubby is like that too. He took me to the mall on my b-day, he said he was going to buy me some work clothes... but turns out that he bought clothes for himself!! :-x :-x

whalebb: do you live sort of close to Shanghai street? I asked my sister to look for something for me there but she didn't have time to find it. I will pay you back $$

Blackout in New York !!!!!!

how you gals doing??? you gals should have light back on la/??? I got mine back on around 6:30 p.m. on August 15......
this is a horrible experience.....never imagine how important the electricity is ~~~~
it's killing me without a/c....I am so mad because my sister-in-law got the light back on 4 a.m. but I have to wait totally 26 hours for that electricity !!!!
this time I told my hubby not to walk back home like last time (9/11)....I told him to stay in his moms house which locate around chinatown .....but they don't have both light and water........lucky I still have my water running....I even store some more water in the bucket incase something happen...anyway...this time is pretty safe and not heard too much crime happened....I hope this will be the first and the last blackout in my life........ :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x
