Proxy 冇問題. 我office都有用proxy的. 但通常用proxy都會加埋firewall去make sure all traffic use proxy, 而firewall就有機會block咗D port令到睇唔到IP cam.

DDNS 就係主要 for netvigator 這些 IP 成日轉的 ISP. 所以絶對冇問題. router 一定識自動 report 新的 IP address 比 dyndns.

另外如果你可以 access Vivotek IP cam 個 webpage, 但 video screen 黑屏, 可以試下 click 'client setting', 改 protocol 為 http, save 然後 home, 這樣應可看到.

你睇邊隻 model呀 ? 3G個隻 ? 有可能係你公司 block 左另外一個叫 rtsp 既 port , 咁畫面會黑色一片.
v gear 同 panasonic 冇記錯只係用一個 http port , that s why.

今日係電腦部睇左vivotek pt7135, 佢話呢隻牌子就算公司block 左port 80, 都可以用另一個途徑睇到, 當然我唔明啦(電腦好c

), 不過佢話叫我搵日係公司打俾佢, 佢再俾個http我試下, 咁就知我公司用唔用到啦

如果買呢款, 出面市價最平係幾錢, 包唔包上門安裝, 另外配麻rounter又要加幾錢, 如果用麻homeplus, 又要加幾錢?...用homeplus, 係咪個ip cam一定要駁住佢架? 因為我屋企部電腦係房, 個ip cam唸住裝係廳, 如果要將電腦駁homeplus同ip cam, 咁咪條線會好長囉, 咁唔係咁好睇(由房走出去廳), 如果係咁, 係咪買無線會好d

The RTSP port is required if you choose UDP or TCP in 'client setting'. If you choose HTTP in 'client setting', the HTTP port is used instead (good for those offices block the RTSP port as well)

There are a lot of models under $1500, but there will be differences in product features and the ability in connecting through firewalls of your office.

I am using Vivotek PT7137 (wireless model), which I bought @$2100. PT7135 will be cheaper, but I guess it should still be around $1700-1800 (cam only, no installation). (I am not sales, so do not know the exact retail price)

Normally installation service will cost you several hundred dollars, a router will cost you $200 (wired) to $400 (wireless), homeplug (not homeplus) will cost you $700 a pair (you need at least 2 to form a homeplug network).

If you use homeplug, LAN cable is still to be used between homeplug and the network device (i.e. a LAN cable from router to homeplug 1 in your room), and another LAN cable from IP-cam to homeplug 2 in your living room), the length of LAN cable depends on the distance of your device from the electrical socket.

My advice will be -- if the living room is adjacent to your room with PC/router (i.e. only 1 wall in between), use wireless model instead; if there are 2 or more walls in between your IP-cam and router, homeplug will be better.

I'm now using MAX PT300, before it called ORITE. I used an ORITE old model IC-300 since 2002 and changed to this new model in 2006. In fact, I tried many brands on their demo site at my office such as SETEYE, DLINK, VEO, PANASONIC, VIVOTEK...most of them cannot pass thru my office firewall (critical factor), or not user freindly, too expensive...... and finally I chosed PT300 which can do pan/tilt, audio, recording, USB WiFi ready...with reasonable price $1480 on esdlife or a bit more at Shamshuipo. I'm now hooking it up with my WiFi router at home and turn it on 7days/24hrs a week . Of course you may need an electronics expert
or shop keeper help for the setup or learn from the manual or other BBS for DIY.... Once you've it, you'll enjoy to watch your babies sleeping, playing, eating....

我朋友都裝過ip cam,佢話唔係咁好架咋喎!佢話因為個鏡頭角度好細,平時唔轉睇唔到好大範圍,唔轉又睇唔到想睇嘅位,就算轉到盡都好多死位,支cam一轉個工人個位又知道即刻扮整野,要長期轉住至睇得晒d情景,你估唔洗做野咩?佢而家轉左個定位cam,角度超大睇晒成間屋咁滯,又唔洗要轉嚟轉去嘥時間又比工人知,即時睇又睇晒,錄影又睇晒,個工人又唔知你幾時睇佢,返到屋企都唔洗咁監介!所以ip cam唔係話你地講得咁好啫!

IP-CAM is camera using IP technology for image transmission and does not necessarily mean the view angle of lens is small. Your friend's 定位cam should also be an IP-CAM as well if he can watch it remotely.

[2] If one mobile phone can watch Seteye 818V Cam, does it mean also can watch all other IP Cam?

MAX-PT300唔係MPEG4編碼，
上傳頻寬唔夠既話(ex.netvigator)，
透過internet傳出去既影像會慢左。

Fixed IP address:220.....但（另外一部電腦）做極看不到？？？？IPV4 or IPV 6??已申請了ｖｉｅｗｎｅｔｃａｍ　ａｄｄｒｅｓｓ但可不到？？？？？

First, you need to make sure if you can access the IP cam from remote PC using IP address. If you can, that means it is DDNS problem; if you cannot access the cam, that means problem in routing.

I have bought Vivotek PT7137 and completed all set up. I can now view it at home through internet. However, I cannot see it through my Pocket PC GPRS mode. They said "Unable to connect to server".

I have set RTSP streaming in configuration at port 554 and in client setting, I am using HTTP mode since it has a message saying that my network environment can only use HTTP mode.

Can any expert help me out? I have spent a whole week on the settings but unfortunately, since my office block RTSP port, I can only see it through my POCKET PC. Thanks.

I don't have pocket PC or smartphone, so I cannot guarantee I can help. In fact, Vivotek manual does not say clearly about how to watch video via 3G phone. However, I think your problem should either be improper setup of your IP-cam or you do not have a suitable player in your pocket PC, because it requires RTSP+3GPP capable player (according to Dlink webpage http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=2807&question=DCS-2120%20/%20DCS-5220 )

Try at a PC type the following in IE address bar 'rtsp://<your_cam_IP_address>/live.sdp' (without quotes) and see if a realplayer pops up to play the video. (Prerequisite : You need to install both realplayer and quicktime player) If yes then the IP-cam setting is alright, maybe just your pocket PC does not have the capable player installed.

I installed Quicktime and Realplayer and try on my PC. The Realplayer pops up but cannot run. Probably it's IP camera configuration issue.

How can I set router/ IP camera so I can use GPRS on Pocket PC to view?
