老公話唔知你去邊個state, 俾唔到website 你住.. 你會land喺邊個州??
also, 你要send 你application 去你land 嘅state, 由佢哋揾org 做你license, certificates 嘅 verification, 至知你係咪qualify 執業架..
我nursing 牌(as 我HK, Australia都有license) 要9個月至完成verification, 可幸嘅係all credits accepted. therefore 我唔駛再讀過or 補修any credits 就可考執業試欏牌.
你俾你會去邊個state嘅info 我, 我就揾個website 俾你喇!
個個都係為仔女呢.. 而家嘅下一代真幸福!

I am living in San Francisco. Teachers in SF are not paid very good but you can check the website of SF City & County www.sfgov.org and there're posting of jobs of SF United School District (government schools). Also, you can check City College of San Francisco (www.ccsf.edu), University of San Francisco (www.usfca.edu) and Golden Gate University (www.ggu.edu) as well. So far as I know, if you want to apply for government jobs or positions required professional qualifications, you need to have 3rd party endorsed verification of your certificate. There are whole bunches of education verification companies in US, charge starts from US$100 and it takes at least 1 month (depends on how long it takes for your universities to submit the official documents to these companies). You can check with the the insitutes and see what kind of qualification verification they needed because it may affect the charge and the time required for verification. If you need more information, let me know and I can check some for you.

想請教大家。我年尾會入美國境land。報住地址同實質都係北卡既Wilmington。請問我係唔係應該係紐約(JFK)入境，辦完手續後才轉機去目的地呢？
我媽媽通常都會搭Continetal係北卡落機再搭兩小時車回家。
那我應該在北卡land還是紐約已經得呢？

今日剛收到信要我們兩個月內填回Form DS2001-HNK，表明已準備面談。我是由姑仔申請去美國的，想問吓：
1. 如果面談，是否一家人一齊見，還是逐個family member見，因為我的大女兒也只是10歲。
2. 甚麼是 Affidavit of support 生活保證書?
3. 沒有舊信件是否一個會被質疑的問題？因為一直以來都好少通電話，更沒有信件。
4. 滙款單據是否必須？因為姑仔從來沒有滙款給我們。
5. 看了其他網友留言話，由填form到interview大約9個月，咁之後的程序會點，同埋需時幾耐？
其實我們一家人都未準備好，今天收到信有些徬徨，好驚好快要走！

視付你自己需要, 移民官唔會因為你邊喥入境而留難你..因為佢哋知道唔係所有地方有直航機, as long as 佢哋問你時, 你show 到你會去N.C. 就ok.
Continetal 啲位濶啲.. food.. + service 就2stars
Cathay 啲位窄啲, food + service 就4stars
記得入境文件pack 係hand carry.. 一寄倉就大大鑊

你passport 有冇 I -51 嘅印?? 冇就要"要求" 領事館加蓋.. so, 你land 之後可以唔駛等green card 到手就返HK.. I-51個stamp 有1年有效.. if 你有stamp, expiry date 應係 next year July. so, 你land 後離境, 但一定要expiry date 之前再入境去keep 住green card.

1.一家人會同一日一齊見領使，只係我就唔清楚會唔會分開單獨見，但應該唔會。因為現場每個人既對答你都會聽得很清楚
16歲(forgot 16 or 14)以下唔洗做良民證亦唔需要去領使館見領使。

3.我和我申請人，即係我媽媽都沒有太多書信來往。都係面試前幾個月媽媽專程搵d野寄比我，我都係比左兩個信封領使咋。電話單就好多。你係現在到見領使前叫申請人多d打電話比你。到你面試時就已經有兩三份電話單啦。

5.到你面試時又係幾個月後既事，如果順利唔洗補資料立刻發簽證比你，你都仲可以有半年時間。無需要徬徨。倒不如你地係呢段時間考慮清楚係唔係真係想移民囉！

正! 有呢個印就ok.. 你可以land 完就走.. 但要喺 expiry date 之前再入境去keep 住green card.

Just an experience to share - remember to bring all your money (the total amount that you want to be tax-free) when you land. The amount will be in your record and it will be tax-free but there is only one chance for you to do that. If you go back to HK and bring additional amount, it will be considered as income and have to be filed tax. Usually, if you bring more than $9,999, you need to line up at a special custom counter and the staff there will ask you why you bring that much money. Just tell him that you are new immigrants coming for good and he will also ask how much you bring over. Write the amount in a piece of paper, don't show the money or the check to him. Airport is a public area. First of all, you don't know if someone are going to rob you. Secondly, the staff will stop you to show the money to him, he won't count it there. So, the safe way is to write down the lumpsum in a piece of paper and tell him when he asks you. I have attended a seminar about immigration to US after I received my visa. It was organized by Wells Fargo Bank and HSBC. You can learn some more information. I would recommend you to attend if you have time.

If you sis-in-law filed tax through her accountant, her accountant can provide a document to her as Affidavit of support 生活保證書 for your family. Or, if you have enough cash and property, you can use it as a affidavit of support by yourselves too. I came to US as a single and it required me to have US$35K as a support and at least US$50K is needed for a single man to immigrate to US on his own. Both cash and property counted. But, I don't know how much it required for a family. You can ask the counsel there.

I remember that it took around 4 months for me to have the interview after I submitted the form. So, you can take this time to prepare phone bills, letters, cards, etc. so that you can have proof of your relationship with your sis-in-law.

Honestly speaking, half year is not a short period. You can have enough time to prepare and pack up. When I came for good, it only took me 2 weeks to make up my mind and buy the ticket. You should consider careful with your family why you want to immigrate to US and do you really want to come. Get used to a new environment is not easy, at least not for adults who have steady income and all the friends and relatives in HK.

生活担保唔夠( e.g 一路都冇報足稅), 移民局就至睇有冇bank saving, 同investment. 但巳扣晒印象分喇..
記得有乜都帶齊去, 個官叫你show evidence, 唔好劃蛇添足, show 稅單就稅單, 唔好自己攞晒bank statement 出嚟.. 個官會覺得你"此地冇銀300両"架
你仲有咁多時間.. 我都教哂你要準備乜嘢門面功夫架喇

我老公入I129,I130 for K3.. within 45 日都見官架喎( at 2003年), 當日afternoon 已攞埋簽証.. 3日後上機..

P.S. 生活担保-- 姑仔公司信, 稅單, 資產
