The cat disease you are talking about is Toxoplasmosis which is caused by a parasitic protozoan called Toxoplasma gondii. It's very uncommon in indoor cats. I have done test before getting pregnant and the result was negative. Toxoplasmosis is however also common in the pork we eat as well as soil. So gardening can be a risk too.
We haven't got our son to do the allergy test coz he is a bit too young. We don't want to scare him. But we are quite sure that he is not allergic to cats, at least cat dander should not be the main cause. He was born with cats, he slept with them for 2 years, and even now he could not see our cats, he is still seeing other cats in dining places that we go every week.
Thank God that his condition is kind of under control in the last 3 months even with the cats in the same household. We would think at least cat is not the major cause.
Our cats are our kids as well. We have them before we have our son. We have a committment to them. All they have is us, we can't let them down. :-(
That will be lying to the government. I think you better not do that. Maybe adopt 2 cats!
Hmm, they are equally important. They are all lives and God's precious creations.
Kids without pet at home also get asthma. I am not too convinced of this direct relationship. Plus he has no flareup for 3 months now even with cats at home.
Fever about a week! Your child should have something wrong la. Any 喉嚨發炎? I don't know how old is your child, maybe 3-5 yrs old la...
My experience was: When my son visited doctors twice but no better change... still had fever.... Then I will take him to hospital, their diagnosis were more accurate, if the medicine was right, no 發炎 and no fever then..
