嗰隻飲管係俾識自已揸奶樽嘅小朋友用.. at least 9months old 到1歲至用得著.. 唔駛太担心住.. 你最緊要係做好開心孕媽媽.. 喺香港坐好月至好過嚟.. 有時間俾大女睇多啲英文台, 去join吓play group學英文.. as 佢9月一開學就100% in English架喇!
記住唔好帶太多衫嚟new york, 因為厚薄唔啱, 而且一入洗衣機, 乾衣機..幾次就新衫都洗爛! 衫喺美國買好啲!

When Corey was still a baby, we always let him get some tummy time. That is how he trained neck and arms muscle. Therefore, he is able to crawl at month of eight. If Angie is not ready to crawl, let her spend more tummy time. Hope it may help.

Hi, I live in Irvine, CA too. I have been here for about 6 months. At the beginning, I do have a hard time as I didn't expect everything is so expensive. The reason I move here is because of my princess. She is going to be 5 in next Feb.

Well, I should not complaint too much as I am very lucky. I got a job after 1 month I moved here. It seems everything is going better and the most important thing is my daugther. She really love here and she can have a backyard to play and she doesn't to have line up for playing the swing. HA HA!

socloudy: Thanks. oh hehee.. I am a bargain shopper too. I like to go to outlet, discount store, malls etc. Are there any Ross, TJ Maxx, Mashall's in NY? The only closer outlet in my area is Gilroy's (~45-60 min drive). Though I think the outlet in the east coast are nicer and stuffs are cheaper. I heard about the woodburry (sp?) outlet in NY state a lot. I wish I can go there one day. Is it far from your area?

meeemeee: How do you like San Ramon? I think I only drove by there but never really go to San Ramon before. I usually just stay in South Bay area. I don't even go to San Francisco area much. I am becoming a "country girl" now.

kristiec: I drove by Irvine one time only. How do you like Irvine so far? I have been living in Northern CA for 5.5 years... nice weather and everything is convenient here.

whalebb: Hi hi. Another CA mom. :) I am thinking if I live in LA area, I would like to get the Disneyland annual pass so I can go there and play couple times a year. :D

Carrie210: Thank you! Aiya, you said you "係屋企都係湊下ｂｂ，　比較多時間咯．" I am staying home now taking care of my 5-month-old but I still don't feel much free time left! :( I guess maybe my 手腳慢 la... I guess I prefer go back to work and find a nanny/daycare for my son. :D My son is getting heavier nowadays (16-17lb?). I feel so sore (back, neck, hands, everywhere) on my body when I carry him, feed him, bath him... I wonder how can other mom carry their couple-year-old kid... They are 20 lb+!

muimui313: hi! wow you live in Hawaii? Which island ah? Do you bring your son to swim a lot? I only been to Maui one time (in late May) and I found it very hot and humid. I guess I am not a beach person... hehee.. I "ding ng shun" walking out the street in hot weather and I dragged my hubby to go back to the hotel or anywhere indoor with air-con after a while. :D

Are the mommies here using stay home to take care of the kids or are there a lot of working moms here? I got layoff in July (while I am in my maternity leave) so I haven't been working (outside the home) for about half a year now. My mom came here for 6 months to help me "sit moon" but she just went back to HK last week. So, I am on my own to take care my baby now. :( I guess I may want to find a job soon as it may be "less work" then staying home to take care of the kid. :D I dunno. My mom always say I am 手腳慢 and that's why I don't have much free time. I admire all the stay-home moms that can handle the kids well and yet still have free time to do othere stuffs!

NY都有TJ Mexx, Marshall架,我间中都執到”順”嘢. 依度仲有幾间Century 21 department store.佢係zagat rate 得最高嘅discount dept store in NY. Woodbury Common outlet 真係幾好行架,不過距離我屋企揸車要75 minutes.依家我都盡量小去, maybe 4 times a year…
依度都有好幾个working moms,我咪係其中一個囉.我爸爸媽媽幫我take care個麻煩友,夜晚都係佢地度瞓, weekends先跟我同我老公住.我真係好感激佢哋架！

my boy started to crawl when he's abt 5 months old since he's kinda active and liked to explore, but he didn't crawl very well maybe until 7 months old.

there're some babies who just skip the crawling stage and go straight to the walking stage. couple of my friends' kids just liked that.

every kid is different. so, no need to worry!

Amanda 出世時冇胎記架.. until almost 滿月, 佢至有"一盤棋"喺佢背脊同pat pat喥.. by now, 佢3歲喇.. 佢啲棋子胎記又disappear 咯!

當時Amanda歲半咯! 坐喺sink 盤玩水!
Amanda 同你BB一樣.. 佢4個月時18磅, 18個月時36磅.. 當時obese, BMI 250%.. 終於要on diet, 而家.. thanks god.. 38個月大about 40磅.. prefectly good!!
小朋友太瘦, 家長担心.. 但小朋友太肥... 更易危害生命.. 佢18個月時 if 再肥落去, pedi話隨時heart attrack (as Amanda有heart murmur).. 醫生話佢6歲前唔可以再暴肥.. otherwise, 好易有type 1 diabetes 一型糖尿(胰島素依賴型)..

We just got back from SF yesterday. We stayed there for 3 nites 4 days and met up with a few bay area mommies. My hubby loved the HK style milk tea in ABC Cafe in Chinatown and I bought some "chai lo may" too. I was so surprised cuz it only took us 6.5 each way and luckily my king daughter behaved herself. She was either napping or watching dvd in the car. She had so much fun playing with the other bay area kids...she didn't want to leave.

About the crawling, my girl is an example of going straight to walking. I think she only crawled occasionally and would prefer holding on stuff to assist her walking. So don't worry la, everyone is different. Do you have any plans this holiday, want to drink tea sometime?

Welcome to our chat. I live in LA County and about 30 mins from Irvine. My girl is 28 months and I work part time. We LA Moms will try to get together everything few months. If you are interested, PM me your email address. We can add your to our "party list". It's wonderful your daughter enjoys her new environment. It is really better for them education wise to be in US. Once you meet more friends, you will enjoy more also. Take care.

What have you been up to? We took a short trip to SF, so much fun. We will be going to HK late January...so excited and worry at the same time but I want to take natalie to HK be4 she starts school next fall.

So glad you enjoyed your trip, no wonder we havent seen you on BK for awhile. We are taking natalie to hk in january. Both to and from flights are scheduled for night departure, I hope my girl will behave. For my girl, I cannot feed her any medicine cuz it makes her more hyper, maybe that's the case for Alex too?

Hi Natmama,
I missed the chance to meet u and your family tim! Why didn't you let me know that you were coming to S.F?
Did u get the "chai lo may" at Yu Yee Chai in SF Chinatown? I was there for dinner on Sunday night with my husband, daughter and our friends.
We will be spending the Thanksgiving day at Disneyland this year. We took Candace there when she was almost 3. She still remembers the parade very clearly because she was scared of some characters when they walked close to her.

Last time when I was in NY, I think I saw the Century 21 store. I think I briefly went in there but I forgot the details luu... It was many years ago.
wah, your parents help you to take care your kid, that's nice. :)

How old is your daughter now? My son is very 八 too. When we feed him his bottle, his eyes and head keep wandering around and it's hard to feed him. I move his head facing me and his head would keep turning left (or right)...
I cooked the turkey in 2004 thanksgiving (my first time to cook the big turkey) but I didn't soak the turkey in beer. I did use some red wine to cook the stuffing though. There are many different recipes for cooking turkey though I don't usually eat beer turkey much. :D I will go to someone's place for thanksgiving this year so I don't need to cook! :D

You must have a big sink. 歲半 can still fit it. It's cute!

Actually my son was 14 lb when he was 4 months. I am not sure how much he weight now exactly (I only use the adult's scale and do the deduction method to get his weight i.e. "take the weight of me holding my son" - "my weight" when he has clothes and diaper on). I will see how much he actually weight in his 6-month check up (mid Dec). He was 40% weight and 50% height last time. I hope he won't gain too much weight la. (I hope he can be taller). Your daughter doesn't look overweight in the picture. How you put her on diet? Did she eat a lot or just the food she took needed to be monitored?
I just started to give my son some rice cereal for 2 days. But then seems that he didn't poo poo for 3 days so I stopped giving him rice cereal. Today, he poo again and I am not sure if I should give him rice cereal again or wait till another month. hummm....?

嘩!乜你强項係cooking,咁baking呀, 整appetizer又啱唔啱呢？我依家学緊整cake、cookie呀！雖然對家政冇天份,但好驚俾人遲d笑我或Corey呀.因啲bb学校一日party到黑,成日要家長整嘢食.唔通真係去燒”立”鋪整條叉燒俾Corey攞去学校咩!以前未有bb時,見到d人錄咗ｄschool party,真係好多燒鴨、排骨.覺得好攪笑囉!遲d請教下你先.

Corey係３个月時,我就唔抱佢飲奶喇!又係4圍look. so我放低佢响bouncer度hold住個樽咋!
