See which kind of rice you buy. I find "pearl rice" or "double sheep rice" are still with big rice but very "min" after the congee is cooked for a long time. But using "golden elephant" rice will break into piece but not so "min". Another choice is to use rice from "Green dot dot". It is an organic rice. But the congee is both very "min" and the rice can be cooked into small pieces. But it is expensive, with $28 per kg.
