Great snacks for bb:
1. Steam or bake sweet potatoes/ yams.
2. Boil potatoes with skin until it's very soft. Remove skin and mash the potatoes by fork. add a slice of Kraft American cheese and mix well. My bb loves it!

Thank you for the tips. I have a question about broil potatoes. Why didn't you take the skin off before you broil it? I always peel the pototoes, broil them, and make mash potatoes (for adult). Is it because of protecting the nutrients?

Your friends spent so much for a nanny. That kind of price you can pay for another mortgage here!

Twins! Your life must be very busy! I can't imagine to take care of 2 babies AT THE SAME TIME since one is killing me already. But I guess you learn how to deal with it, right?

Do you think it's worth to apply DIRECTV with Hong Kong TV in it? Is the quality good?

What kind of business your hubby is running? Well.. if you know the accounting stuff, it's good for your hubby depends on you instead of a stranger (accountant), right? hehe.. :lol: It's good decision that you quitted your job. it's good your friend's younger baby will start preschool soon. it is really tough to find a good nanny. i was watching dr. phil on tv and they were talking about abusive nannies...2 of the children actually died. we paid $1400/month for the one we hired before but still cannot trust her with the baby alone....so finally have to quit my job and watch the bb myself. if there is a trustworthy babysitter, that's also good, but my grandma's friend is a bb-sitter and she said the babies cry for at least 2 weeks to a month when they first start going to her. she just stuff towels around her doors/windows so the mom/neighbors won't hear the bb cry. after hearing that, how could i give my bb to bb-sitter....

My husband is a partner in a network consulting firm. I don't mind taking care of his books because at least I know how much he makes...hehehe... :mrgreen:

早排每之都食6安多D,而家5安都食唔曬...

Your bb looks very cute and chubby. I heard that babies go through a growing splurge and they will eat more or less from time to time. The key is not to force your bb to finish his milk everytime. If he is not interested, then take the bottle away...just feed him a earlier if necessary. What kind of part time do you do and who's watch ah b for you? :-P :-P

I just wash the potatoes really good and like to boil them with skin. No special reason.

At my son's 9 mons. old well check, his doctor told me that babies at this age still need at least 20 oz of formula per day + other solid food.
My bb son is 10 mons. old now. His intake of a day as follow: 4 times of formula (total of 20 to 23 oz), 2 feedings of thick congee (1 bowl each time), plus 1 to 2 times of small snacks (fruits/ yogurt/ sweet potatoes/ potatoes with cheese/ bb crackers). Water in between. I don't give him juice.

I think it is worth to have DirectTV. I ususally spent most of my evening on the TVB channel after my BB went to bed. They do have good series sometimes.

Taking care of 2 babies have been a challenge for me, especially at the beginning. However, things are getting much better now.

Thank you for sharing the stories about nanny. I guess I need to forget about looking for nanny as I don't want my BB get hurt or any negative impact on them.

Thank you for complimenting my bb ah....she is very naughty ga. She was sleeping thru the nite at 3 months and now starting to wake up in the middle again...sometimes I want to spank her~~~ She knows how to roll over since 4 months but does not like to do it often. I think becuz her clothes are too heavy. "招數都幾好, 唔使問就知有幾錢收入"....ok la...I get a set amount of "house spending" each month from my hubby so not a big difference la...just ask him for "bonus" once in awhile...hehehe

Little Fat Man,

You like Victoria Secret too~~ I love shopping for those good smelly cream...do you like bath and body work....they also had a sale and I restock too...hehehe. It's good your fat man will buy you skincare/make up la...my hubby knows nothing of it. He always ended up using what I bought and don't like...

Where have you been? Any news on your husband's immigration process?

No need to thank la...just sharing experience as new mom. I think it's hard both working or not. Depends on what your priority is. If financially okay, then spending a few years with the little one leaves no regrets. I try to keep in touch with my boss/friends at work so it'll be easier if I do go back in a few years.

my bb is naughty la...just like to play all the time.
do u notice the bath tub is a little small? every time my bb kicks, half the water is gone. i thought i was able to use this until she is at least one...now i'm not sure if i need to buy a bigger one.

Before mini-matt, I loved to do body work. But after that, mini-matt sticks on me all the time and I have to do housework, I have no time to do anything for myself.

Now my elbow is rough and my skin is dry , I think it's time to do something la.

..My husband knows nothing of it either, he just knows Mary Kay is one of good cosmetic products, so he bought lots of its products that I don't need..
My little one loves to roll over,if I'm changing his diaper, I can't stop him, especially he's crazy for the remote control, he will twist his body and try to get it. Now he's trying to crawl

When he still was brand-new, he could sleep 4 hours at night. After 2 months, he was sleeping through the night ..But I don't know why he started to wake up twice or more at night since he was 4 months old.. Sometimes I wanna kill him, not only spank him. :mrgreen:

Sorry maybe I confused you...I meant the store "Bath and Body Work"...it's in most malls. But I know what you mean...forget about "body work"...just lots of "housework". I have to do baby laundry 3 times/week. Natalie likes to roll over when I change her diaper too...maybe our bbs don't like to wear diaper. Does Mini-Matt like telephones...my bb is always going for the phone. Do you think it's the weather that's causing our bbs to wake up at nite again...sometimes hot sometimes cold. My bb goes to bed at 9:30pm and wakes up at 4:00am then 7:30am. She used to be able to sleep from 9:30pm - 6:30am....hai

Of course we can reschedule...I hope your baby is okay. What is "rose rashes"? Is it from food allergy? I called Dr. Chan and she still has the flu vaccines now...I'm not sure if she will still have it when my bb turns 6 months in 2 weeks.

I didn't know you have twins either. So maybe it is better for you to be a full-time mom. It will be hard for a nanny to take care of 2 babies at the same time.
