I suggested to rent our old condo out instead of selling, but my husband said the same thing as yours,
he doesn't want to deal with the tenant.. The tenants may damage the house, don't make the payment . Or even they move out, we can't throw their stuff away in the house,if not, they could sue us. Some tenants are not easy to evict them..
Luckily, the condo's sold that fast.. :mrgreen:

I only used warm damp cloth to wipe my bb's body & face before he turned 1 months old. I also used alcohol to clean the cord area at least 3 times a day before it came off. Enjoy every moment, baby does grow fast!

Natmama & mrsyip,
I'm in the real estate business. People are still bidding way over asking price with no contingency. Sellers get everything they want! I have sellers get free rentback from buyers. In my area, some listings get 20 or 30 offers!

Long time no chat, too busy at work and something was wrong with the PC at home before that's why didn't come to chat .

Congratulations! Ryan is such a big baby!! :lol:
BB has hiccup is very common, if you feed the baby with the bottle just make sure there is half to 1 oz extra milk/formula in there to prevent the bb from sucking the air. I let my son had water from day 1 and which his ped. recommend that too, of course not too much just a little bit each time should be fine.

Tell your mother-in-law not to feed Ryan with the glucose water, not only afraid that he will be become picky with the taste plus my son's ped. once told me giving a young baby water with glucose is the last method to help a baby if he is constipated to make him go "poop" so I guess there is something in the glucose to do with the stomach, so tell you MIL not to do so.
疆醋/雞酒 will not affect your breastmilk because the酒 in 雞酒 has been cooked and two peds. told me is OK so I think is fine.
I gave my son half formula and breastmilk before he turned 3 mos old and strictly formula only, don't push yourself too hard and after birth,a lot of women got emotional easily and is normal

, I cried easily after I just gave birth to my son at that time and don't know why either, just relax and talk to your family and friends more, it really help gar cuz by sharing your feelings with them and knowing that you are not alone, feel much better gar.

regarding the food issue: is okay to let mini-matt to eat the rice cereal and the applesause but make sure he is not allergic to any new food before you mix that with one and other. When I started my son with the baby food , I let my son had all the green food (veg.) peas,green beans,spinich... then the orange food, ex:carrot,sweet potato, squash.. at last is the fruit catagory, my son's ped. recommend this pattern to prevent him become a picky eater and which my son is pretty good with that, hope this info, will help you. :lol:

cutie_mommy, is your bb seeing Eddie Yang? I have seen both Eddie Yang and Dr Pang when I was in the hospital. I think Dr Yang has more patiency then Dr Pang. My ob @2nd floor suggested Dr Yang too.
I will bring Ryan to see him next wk on the 27th for 1st ck up... hehehe.. cant wait to bring him out hahahahah..

With the swings, Natalie did exactly the same as Mini-Matt. Luckily we had the seat beat on her or else she would probably have fell off. I'm beginning to put the toy tray in front of her for extra protection, but from what you said, sounds like the tray can fall off too. You know when I put Natalie in the saucer and every time she presses the music button, she would jump up and down. I think music classes can benefit our babies.

I didn't know rental properties caused that much hassle. I know the law does protect the tenants more but I also heard some good stories from my friend. I think just need to be very careful when selecting tenants and run background/credit check. It's just real estates seems less risky than stocks so that's why my husband and I are thinking about it...

That kid you mentioned have such bad manner...luckily the mom seemed more understanding and gave the toy back to your bb. My friend has a 1 year old boy and he likes to play with my bb...but my bb does not know how to protect herself yet and he is very rough...so I haven't gone out with that friend for a long time...:cry: :cry:

With the interest rates going up, I'm surprise ppl still have so much confidence in the real estate market. We have a lawyer friend who bought 10 houses for investment but would buy the cheapest kind of pork bones to make congee for her son...isn't that sad. I wish I have the guts to invest in it now...but no la....bb is too small and can't afford to take risk

I have to reconfirm with you about next friday because I will be bring bb for her 6 months shot on that day. After that, my sisters-in-law is coming from HK for 1 week on 2/1-2/8. Do you mind if we reschedule to after that time....very sorry ah...

Thanks for letting me know about the rental insurance...did your family have any problems with renting to tenants?

u were much better than me la! Last last year when I was still living in HK and ate out with my hubby, he got stomach ache for 3 days, but I had food poisoning and was hospitalized for 3 days!!!

And many years ago when I was working in Singapore, I spent one weekend in HK. The food just made me so sick the last day that I nearly missed the flight back to work!

I finally found the "simple and tasty chicken" menu:
三杯雞 (三杯即是米酒、醬油、麻油)
材料:
雞 - 半隻(約1斤)
九層塔 (basil) / 月桂葉 (bay leave) - 1棵
薑 - 1兩 (3安士) 切片
調味 :
米酒、醬油、麻油 - 各 1/4杯
糖 - 1/2 茶匙
雞粉 - 1/2 茶匙
胡椒粉 - 少許
做法:
1. 雞洗淨斬件，加入調味煮滾後改用中火炆10分鐘至汁濃度適中
2. 最後加九層塔炆片刻即成。

I add only a little bit of 麻油 instead of 1/4 cup, just to reduce the oil, but it still taste good. Sometimes I use chicken wings, sometimes cut pieces, both are very tasty!

I had a c-section too, but my incision wasn't too bad. I could try to breastfeed mini-matt after the operation and walk around after 1 day...Take care..

A few days ago, mini-matt started to crawl with his forearms flat on the floor and ,his butt in the air and tucking one knee in and extending the other..His dad seems so excited,I can't leave him alone on the bed anymore..

I heard some bad experience from my husband's friends about tenants, didn't make a payment for a couple of months, left the stuff in the apartment after moving out, the landlord had to sell it out in the newspaper , he could not just throw it away.........

As whalebb says, the contract is the most important thing, black and white.But the tenant is a bad person, you still waste your time to deal with...Anyway, just like the lottery, wish you luck..

Will you buy playpen for your bb ? and when will you buy high chair ? which brand ?

剛剛睇完"自由講場",其中一個forum, 係"人渣呃綜援夫婦 - 患難夫妻大話 Show", 令我諗起我係香港隔離個女嚟咗美國讀書,之後嫁咗人,依家有個女, 但係佢哋一家又係唔做嘢, 靠綜援過日,但係佢哋可以得閒就去滑雪,比錢請佢亞媽由香港嚟美國幫佢睇bb,仲會返下香港過玩吓..香港仲有樓..
我真係好想問,係唔係真係佢哋一世話無嘢做,就可以扼一世綜援架? ?-( ....如果係,唔怪之得,咁多墨世哥人可以生咁多, 都唔怕會餓世啦..

Did u also hv yr first one by c-section? I heard from my friends that their 2nd c-section deliveries (mostly planned c-sect.) were less painful and recovered more quickly.

Little Fat Man,
Our bb started doing similar thing as mini Matt abt the same age. Although he's not quite crawling yet, he can still move himself to anywhere he wants. So u might wanna keep an eye on him and start doing baby-proof yr house soon.
