Nille
No problem. I will give your Baby Welcome card on Saturday. Can't wait to meet you and Socloudy. I will call you on Friday.
whalebb,
hehe... I am thinking when my son is older, I will bring him to go to Disneyland play gar. Now, he's too small. ng sic play and waste money...
Bay Area mo 咩野玩 gar (at least for me). At most mei go shopping lor. I don't even go to San Francisco area often (I live in South Bay). It's hard to park the car in SF mah. So usually I just go shopping in the mall near my house. I don't have much friends in this area. Most of my friends (in my age group) are in Chicago (I studied there before). The friends in the bay area are all "uncles and aunties" (My parents' friends). Different generation and they are busy with their own stuffs.
Today, actually it's the first time I put my son in his stroller and go to the "park" (and not a shopping mall! hahaa). There's a small park in my community (the house's) and many parents will bring their kids to walk and play. This afternoon, I brought my son to walk out for 30 minutes for the first time (1st time in park intentionally). I hope I will do this more often la. :D But then I am more interested in "walking" in the mall then the park. :D
Socloudy,
oh, so put Corey in the bouncer and it can hold住個樽? That's good! I need to find something to hold the bottle. I didn't get a bouncer for my son. So he can either sit in the car seat or in the high chair. Still, I need to hold the bottle for him. I don't know when can a baby hold the bottle himself?
Carrie210,
When did your daughter know how to hold the bottle? I hope my son know how to hold the bottle himself soon. Then my hands won't be too tired. :D
I only cooked the turkey once jar... lucky that it was successful. :D I just copy a recipe online and follow the instruction to cook the turkey and the stuffing. When I was living in dorm (I studed college in US), they always serves turkey in the Thanksgiving week. Also, when I go to people's place during thanksgiving, doe hai eat turkey and/or ham. hehee.. you guys always 打邊爐 during "festival"? In my friends' gathering, sometime doe 打邊爐 gar. Anyway, usually I go to other people's place, no one go to my place coz I don't really cook and I don't have all those utensil and tools. I don't even have the 打邊爐 stove and those pot. :D
Wow! Your son can crawl at 5 month old!! *Sigh* Angie is a very lazy baby I guess. She doesn't like being in the walker too! You're right...I know some babies will skip crawling and learn standing/walking. At least I knew I was when I was a baby. But Angie just doesn't have the motivation at all. Thanks for your encouragement la~~
Zic,
How are you? Are you ready to move back to HK? Are you excited? Coz you will be so close to your family very soon. But you gonna miss all your friends in the East Coast la~ How's little Kurt ar?
I thought Angie will lose her interest in nursing after I go back to work. The truth is it's the opposite...she's more "sticky" than before. I'm so 頭痛right now coz she wants me all the time and I can do nothing after I get home! My husband tried to help by holding her but then she cried like crazy!! I have no idea???
bunnymonkey,
Hi hi...I'm Angiemame ar~ I used to live in SF but moved to LA 5 years ago since married. I have a 8 month old princess and a big baby (my hubby)! I like living in SF gar but "gar chicken tsui chicken" ma. My hubby worked in LA so I moved down with him law. Will you go back to work soon?
Wai...You didn't tell me you're going to visit SF!! We are going this Thursday to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. I'm excited coz I'm home sick. And my mom will cook for Thanksgiving this time...Yeah!! How's meeting up with the Bay Area moms up there? do you know if they're going to meet up again this Thanksgiving holiday?
You're lucky la~ Nat is so 乖 mo 扭計...Angie is more 扭計than before ar...好頭痛! Last time it took us 7 hrs to SF but 10 hrs back to LA. See if we have more luck this time la~ 飮茶 sounds good ar~ I call you when we come back from SF la!! You have a happy Thanksgiving la.
Hi! So do you like it better in LA or SF ah? LA is much warmer/hotter compare to SF. SF is chilly most of the time! I don't know when I will go back to work. If I find the right job, I will go back! Currently, I am still staying home 量地 and take care of my baby. Are you a working mom?
Sorry I didn't call everyone, I just told the moms I MSN with that I was going to SF. If you have time, we can meet up when you come to Disneyland. We can meet up for lunch or dinner. Just email me or PM me your number. We ate so much at SF, we did go to "yue yee chai" for the "chai lo may"...so yummy. My hubby also liked the milk tea from ABC...
Angiema,
Call me when you get back la. If possible, bring a portable dvd to play for Angie, she will have more fun in the car. :-P :-P :-P
You guys have so much fun in SF. I only recognised your family,Marble's family, Lidvia's family, Amy's family Anyway, thanks for sharing the nice photos and Nataile looks so enjoyed her S.F. trip.
Let us know if you guys planning to come visit east.
yes, i heard from Marble that u would be in SF in Nov. but then we forgot to contact each other for the details. too bad that we missed the chance to meet each other. hopefully we'll get a chance to meet later, maybe when we go to LA.
anyway, we don't go to SF very often since i moved to San Jose. parking is a big problem there. we go there only if needed. i seldom went to chinatown even when i lived in SF before. parking lots there are always full, and people are walking everywhere (so crowded).
when i came back from SF (richmond district) last year, i realized that the corner of the back bumper of my car was ugly idented. it must be hit by another car at the parking lot while i was not in the car.
speaking of chinatown, i like the NY chinatown the best.
but when u mentioned abt the "yue yee chai" place in SF, i missed it so much!
Nillie_Mami,
I see.. wah, 3人浴缸gum好玩, nice! So you need to watch out on what she eats... Do you cook a lot for her usually when she was smaller? Or you gave her baby food jar (store-bought)?
Carrie210,
I hope my son can hold the bottles himself soon la... My hands get so sore each time when I feed him. Anyway, how was your Thanksgiving dinner? I went to someone's house for dinner and it was nice. :) I only cook some 腐竹雞蛋蓮子百合糖水 and bought a Panettone (italian cake/bread) to the dinner party jar. No time to really cook and I am lazy. :)
Where in the US will you go to? Life in different cities in the US could be quite different. :) Anyway, I am living in Northern California (close to San Jose/San Francisco) for about 6 years now. I have been in the US since 1994. I lived in different states before including very small town and big cities. 我而家住得ok ah... hahaa.. actually I guess I have been in the US for too long so if I need to go back to HK and live there, I guess I may not get use to it any more. Anyway, welcome and good luck! :-P
Welcome to BK. I live in California for 3 years and live in Cary, North Carolina for 1.5 years which I loved both places. But I highly recommended to live in a place where the school district is the best which you will protect your investment values.
Please let me know if you come to LA with your family. Too bad we missed each other this time, I just didn't want to bother everyone so just told the moms I saw on MSN. I'm sure we'll have lots of time to meet :-P :-P :-P
Ladyfirst,
I moved to LA with my parents many years ago. As a student at the time, the education and living environment is really more advantageous in the US. What area do you plan on moving to? Many major cities in the US have chinese resources like supermarket, restaurants, schools, it won't take you long to enjoy the new place.
