is little Eddie ok now? at least now u know the cause of the high fever. coxsackie is highly contigious and can easily got infected from other school kids. he might have lost appetite and only wanted soft and cold food such as yogurt.

when my son was abt 2 yrs old, he had a fever of 102 to 105 F for abt 5 to 7 days. initially doctor also suspected he got coxsackie, coz he said a lot of kids came to see him for that at that time. however, eventually my son didn't get coxsackie; after having blood test, he said it's only virus.

"Hand-Foot-Mouth" desease is a popular kind of Coxsackie.

oh, poor kid.. cried for 1 hr b4 he can poo. That's bad. My son didn't really has much problem with constipation. I think the longest day he didn't has poo was 2 days.

coxsackie 係角克其病毒, 但只係translation, 中國香港台灣.. 度度叫法唔同.. 佢係腸病毒嘅一種, 同手足口病.. 68-71型腸病毒屬同類..
係day care 嘅常菌. 要留意day care 嘅衛生情況..
一般會發高燒..must over 103F, 燒 2-5日..多數3-4日必開始退燒
手腳口病就會爛肉
68-71型會勁疴嘔
角克其就sore throat.
所有都係病從口入
大人嘢唔到as 我哋已免疫
小朋友出過, 幾十年都免疫..
但留意..出過coxsackie, 都可以出手足口病..etc 因為隻隻virus 都唔同
小朋友會好tired, lost appetite, 只要offer fluid, 足夠休息就ok..

抖先好驚呀, 剛剛肚痛諗住要要去厠所開大, 開開吓突然係陰道流(跌)左幾舊有EGG咁大的紅色物體出黎, 我好驚係咁係到喊, 疑為個子宮跌左出黎, 係咁喊係咁叫亞媽, 咁亞媽入黎厠所睇吓我做咩, 亞媽立刻話事, 呢D就係惡露呀, 一舊舊咁流出黎咪好, 亞媽話就係擔心我點解無呢D一舊舊的血流出黎, 流左出黎第時M黎就唔會肚痛.......好驚呀.

唔知係咪飲波打酒關係, 我第1日飲左半支之後個肚就開始陰陰痛, 隔日就開始多D惡露流出, 之後同一晚就飲埋個半支就半日後就流D一舊舊的血啦.

Don't worry. Last pregnancy, my mom made me some "sung far tong" and a big piece of blood clot came out. My sister told me to pay attention if it would be hard and dark red. If yes, it might be part of the placenta left inside the body. I was so scared and I told it back to the ob who said that it's just blood clot. It's good to have it ejected from the body. I nearly freaked out before and then my mom told me it's the effect of "sung far tong" which should help to clear up all the blood clots inside the ovary. So, you should be okay.

Is it wonderful to see the baby smiles? Honestly speaking, it's just a natural muscale movement, not really a smile. But, as a mom, I would say that who cares and it's a wongerful moment anyway.

You can see more of these interesting things in the future - first turnover, first teeth, first time to sit up.... enjoy all the moments!!!

i thought "sung far tong" is for those who had natural birth only (not for c-section), right? i had c-section and i didn't have any. i heard that couple of my friends had that after they had natural birth. howver, my mother-in-law was a nurse in HK. she even scared me that she saw a mom had internal bleeding (non-stop) after she had the "sung far tong" or other herbs after given birth.

well ... actually i didn't eat anything special after i had c-section. i didn't even had much "ginger pork" coz i didn't like the taste that much. i only had regular chicken soup with some black beans, and red-date water. and i remember my mom-in-law always made chinese bbq pork fried rice for my lunch. and she made "birdnest" with "yu gau" for everybody as mid-night snack. basically they all ate the same things as me except for the red-date water.
those don't sound like the popular "sit moon" meals, but i guess i was doing fine.

also i didn't eat anything special during pregnancy and before given birth. maybe i was still working at that time and didn't pay much attention to the diet. i remember i craved for sweets. but now i have to thank God that i didn't have any diabete problems during my whole pregnancy, coz at that time i didn't know it's a problem for some pregnant women.

btw, 3 cats, if i remember correctly, it sounded like u had a simliar birth story as mine.

Nillie and all NY mom,

Kaden has Hives all over his body, started on Saturday and then he was cranky, we still don't know what cause it, but he a bit better now and c6 decided not to come yesterday. Sorry about that.... we really wanna come but then I can't leave Kaden home:cry:. I hope everyone have fun

我MAMI原本聽一個ANTIE講話整生化湯我飲, 但買唔到材料, 所以無整, 咁佢咁買左健力士黑啤我飲, 飲完就出呢D血塊. 但清左後個肚真係無咁谷.

SY_MON:

我都係要做C-section, 我都係咩都無補品同姜飲都無食, 只係食D清淡的食物, 紅棗水我無飲呀, 因我係熱底所以我唔飲得, 我只係飲藍棗水.

補品 - MAMI話等傷口好返先慢慢補...我依家沖涼都無用姜水沖, 因怕傷口會痛.

Thanks for asking, he's better now and we gave him Allegra and since his pedi is on vacation, we didn't bring him out to doctor. But still don't know what cause it though, he didn't eat anything new.... I am thinking it could be the sudden change of weather on Friday. He was uncomfortable because the rash are really itchy....

Hi nic997,

Chloe had rashes about 2 weeks ago too but that only last for one day so we didn't take her to see doc either. I still don't know the cause but it may be food allegy in her case. Since you mention your pedi is on vacation, just curious, is it dr.zhang? Most people I know either see her or dr.Liu downstairs. Hope Kaden will be all well soon!

Thanks Nillie!! Chloe and I had so much fun. On the way home, she said couple times "Ho Wann" by herself without me asking. I'm very happy to meet you all. Can't wait for our next gathering!:-P

我啱啱喺間屋度見到有隻老鼠仔, c6返咗工, 軒軒依家又瞓咗, 唔可以抱落街, 有冇mani可以教我奌樣趕走佢or捉佢? :-(
