jstn,
Finally, I just moved some of the clothes of Spencer into a storage box and put some newborn into his drawer. Yes, I'm ready and hope that my hubby can be around when I need to go to hospital. He mainly works in San Mateo but also some other areas such as San Jose and Half Moon Bay. It takes him more than 1 hour to come back. So, I really hope that he can be at home when I'm about in labor.
Regarding the position of your baby, I had the same problem when I gave born to Spencer. But, my ob had not checked the position of Spencer. It took me 2-1/2 hours to push him out. When his head showed, the nurse said, "the baby is facing up, that's why it take so long".
At that moment, I had no time to worry but tried to push him out fast. And the dr. told me to stop because the cord was around the neck
She cut it and then asked me to keep going. Finally, it's okay, just took a little bit longer. Well, at least, your ob has checked it and gave you option. Don't worry too much now. I'm not sure if walking can help but definitely walking can stimulate easy and faster delivery. So, keep walking at least 30 mins a day, even inside the house, just going upstairs and downstairs would be beneficial. Relax and looking forwards to having a healthy baby.
