嘻...講真初時真係好想放棄唔去參加比賽! 因為實在太遠...但呀仔好堅持要出賽...我地先去咋! 好彩老公又放緊大假...佢渣車去咋!

好開心能夠在這裡報喜又報憂! le個大家庭真係滿有溫情也!

希望未比賽小朋友都有好成績呀!

亞仔今日比賽時有失準,只有Proficiency,差過上次好多,上次有Merit! 今次佢好唔開心,希望佢從失敗裏取得經驗,以後要好好練琴啦!

Sorry for my late reply as I have been very busy these two days. My son is 15 already. Boys tend to be more independent once they are promoted to secondary school. My son still enjoys going out with us but tries to avoid young kids at the age of his sister. We share some books and commune by email. I used to supervise his piano practice too but stopped two years ago. There was some regression but he finally manages to get self-motivated, and can now take care of his own practice.

Thanks for your tips and they are very useful. My daughter's Sonatina is a more romantic piece and requires very legato expression. However, she is not pedalling at all. I agree that your son's Sonatina is more appealing.

My daughter's playing is still too soft. She started coughing yesterday and lost her voice while tomorrow is already the choir competition. She did not go to school today fearing that she would be banned from the choir performance. We gave her some Chinese medicine and star fruit and hopes she will get better soon !! Our Sonatina competition is on tomorrow's evening too. :-( :-(

Congratulations to Charles and Heidi

and to those who got good results in the Music Festival!

My daughter got 88 marks with no prize this time. She is a bit disappointed but I am happy with her result because her performance was great to me! She could present what she learnt from the teacher without mistakes. That's already very good! Moreover, there were many competitors in her groups with excellent performance. I think this is a good lesson to her.

恭喜Claudee有88分，可能對手實在好強，咁高分實在好難得！能在比賽時做足老師要求，已經是達到參加比賽的目標了，始終評分是主觀，能否有名次真是很難預計，叫囡囡比心機，希望在明年！

多謝你的意見，仔仔會打算出外讀書嗎？我認識有些家長，已開始為子女小六後到外國讀書做準備。

囡囡小提琴的評判比較手緊，整體的水平你覺得如何？昨天抽空聽了1/3場小提琴三級的比賽，整體表現比上年二級好很多，我聽了14個參賽者，全部也順利拉完全首曲，其中有4個拉得幾好和有水準結果其中兩個得亞軍(87分)。另一位我以及為會冠軍的三甲不入！評判沒有講首歌應該注意的地方，只說昨天那一組是他見最高水平的一組，最低也有75分，人人有cert，皆大歡喜！

My daughter played #104 for grade two. The competition took place last Monday morning, the first day first group!
