My new helper works in Fanling but I live in HK side, I offer to pay her transportation cost but after that , she needs to come to my home for a few more times to pick up my documents , she never asked me to pay her transportation because she has to go to consulate and immigration , all in HK side anyways. I let her pay for all the cost first and repay her after she starts living with me while waiting for the new visa.
By the way, she gave me her employer's phone number after pick up the new contract and the feedback is quite ok . If I were you , still call the employer to ask for references, you can back out even contract is issued before submitting to immigration . I sent my helper to body check before the immigration appointment too, in case she has health problem, I can also back out before she got the new visa. Just my advice.
I think yours is a bit 斤斤計較, how old is she and how many years she has work in hk ?
I usually screen 2-3 before confirming the one I wanted the most. The one now is not my favorite but too bad, 2 good ones back out and renew with her employer . Now has started work for 2 weeks, not too smart but willing to learn. Her ex employer is too harsh on her. She just wants a new employer who treats her well and I only interested in people who only work 2-4 years... Not so spoiled or 古惑
She can stay in your home before visa issued, whether u let her work or not, it's up to you. Everybody knows it's illegal to start working before she gets her visa but I don't want her to get fleas to my home .
