Oh! You studied in same Uni as my hubby. But he said, supposed he should study in Uni of Oxford if he didn’t get hit from his mum when he was child. (hehe ) Small city ?-( ? he told me Sheffield is the 5th big city in U.K.! There are 2 Uni in Sheffield now!! He loves his home town very much; perhaps he had a lot of memories in there.
My hubby usually speaking to his brothers with strong Sheffield accent, when I came to a shop in Sheffield first time, the salesman also spoke accent like them, I felt very funny!
Honestly, I like Sheffield more than London. Now, they have few more Chinese food restaurants. We went to one restaurant and their dim sums are very delicious, also cheaper than London.

My hubby can speak a little bit of “hak ka wah”, but now my dad-in-laws prefers speak Cantonese to him instead, because he doesn’t understand what he says. (hehe:mrgreen: )
Really? I don't know Sheffield is one the of big 5 cities!!! Well... Perhaps I didn't know how to go anywhere at that time! silly me!!!
I like Sheffield Okay except the weather!! I am a sunshine lover. I can't live in a place doesn't have enough sunshine, I will go depress real fast!!
When I was studying, I have a schoolmate who owns a chinese resturant. He and his wife are good cook! They always invited us to their home and eat! Compare to London, I think Sheffield people are nicer! London is more like HK, ppl walk very fast!! hehe
