I will go to Sinagpore with my 2.5 daughter for 5 days. Take Cathay. The arriving time to Sinagpore is at 17:45. If I go to Bintan directly, is it possible?
If not, then I need to spend one night in Sinagpore first and then to go Bintan.
Last day take CX 714 back at 11:05
Moreover, how will you suggest I plan the itinerary?
I also have the same flight and i have already booked bintain hotel on the same day when arriving singapore.
My planning is
Day 1 -Singapore-bintain
Day 2 -elephant ride in the morning, spa in the afternoon and mangrove tour (fireflies) at night
Day 3 - Bintain -singapore(pm) M hotel - Chinatown - Night Safari(7點-10點) - Lau pa sa (宵夜)
Day 4 - Bird Park(東)- Lau pa sa (中)-Suntec City(西) - the red house(西) - Clary Quay (中)
Day 5 - Hong Kong
According to my local friend, the night safari has not much to see compare to the day zoo. Can I have your second opinion. I am bringing my 21 months old toddler there.
Nice to know your itinerary. (I will take it as a reference) Since we will arrive Singapore at 5:45 pm, do we have sufficient time to go to Bintan, when will be the last ferry to Bintan?
Moreover, would you mind tell me which hotel you have choosen for Bintan and how much per room? I am still search the hotels both in Bintan and Singapore.
But I booked this hotel throgh agent, it's too late now. And after I confirmed with the hotel and I go on to book the ferry. I will also arrived at 17:45, it may be hurry for us coz we need to go to the terminal at 1900.
I have checked that the last ferry to Bintan should be 8:00 pm and if we arrive Sinagpore at 5:45 pm., we still have one hour to the pier. So, we may have enough time to the pier. But, if there is any delay on the flight, it would be a bit risky.
Kitty,
When will you leave? I will leave on July 31, therefore, the promotional packages are not applicable to me. Anyway, I am now checking the price of the hotel. You mention that you will join the Elephant ride and Mangrove tour, where can I get the information and how do you enroll that kind of trips? Which spa is good? Sorry for so many questions. :-P
angeschan>>>e-z link card, in similar to our octopus card, is a plastic card with pre-paid value and is valid on bus and mrt. The card is available from all mrt stations. It is very useful if you travel frequently by public transport. Be aware that there is a non-refundable handling charge (S$5?) for each card. If you just stay at Singapore for one or two days, single ticket must be a better option.
Suntec City = 新達城 Esplanade = 濱海藝術中心, i.e 發光榴槤
Holland Village is a place with a cluster of restaurants. It takes about 15-20 minutes bus ride from Orchard Road. I had a piece of delicious cheese cake at a café called NYDC. No recreational facility at there.
