Hi MsChanChan,

I know a very well qualified speech teacher who is now retired and offers private tuition on speech event. She also enrolls her students to the Schools Speech Festival competition. She gives the child a tape to learn hte material and they have a few meetings nearer the competition. My daughter used to learn with her since kindergarten and most of her friends got a prize last year. We formed a group of 4 to share an hourly session. Even when they were K3, they got merits in the English Open Class Solo Verse Speaking (Under 8), competing with foreign students.

My boy has also started learning piano. As he can't pay attention in the group learning in Tom Lxx, let him try private tutor law.

ChanChan,

My girl has great improvement in her fingers & gesture recently despite that she is back to repeat her Grade 1 piano book.

My boy's fingers are too weak but his memory is excellent. The teacher says his recognitions of notes/fingers are as a P1/2 kid.

Anyway, we can meet in the coming October concert, right?! If lucky enough, my boy can play his "Mary has a little lamb" too.

How is Christy's progress? Glad to see that she will try Grade 5 exam later. Confident that she can manage well.

我個女都係咁啦，佢懶唔肯比心機練，所以進度都係慢。 考5級係目標，係咪真係報考就要睇佢表現喇!

乜個concert係十月？我以為9月尾o添!

My girl will also join the concert & is practising hard for her song. Miss is so serious to take video for rehersal tim. :lol:

考5級係目標，係咪真係報考就要睇佢表現喇!>> once there is 目標, there is motivation to practise gar lar, right?!

Has Miss talked about the Music Festival with you ar? I better ask sin.

My girl told me the concert held on 1 Oct gar.

老師都有叫我帶錄影帶，但我堂堂都唔記得。

music festival，有呀，不過老師叫阿女今年唔好參加住，比心機應付考試。

係o窩! 好似1 Oct，我女都努力緊首歌，不過...進度都係好慢好慢...

想八下妳, 妳小朋友今年去 Ocean Park 個 day camp 好唔好玩, 正唔正呀 :-P ? 其實若果唔係撞左阿女自己個 camp (又加上路程既關係 ), 真係好想比阿女去見識下玩下!

You have a good memory. When did we have the 帝堡城BBQ gathering? I guess 3 yrs ago. Time flies, my boy is going to be 5 and yours will go to the Teenager age very soon, right?! :lol:

Actually, I don't prefer his start in piano so early but he has a very good memory.....an advantage in learning piano When he was very small ~ 2.5 yrs old, he could recognise all the keys of the piano,i.e C, D,E,F,G,A,B just after I introduced the 8 keys from Middle C once. And his ear is surprisingly smart. So, just let him start & try. :mrgreen:
