Why do you expect them to report to you? They arn't your paid staff. They don't work for you. It sounds like they are doing you a favor of taking care your baby when you are out working.
Natalie, honestly, not a big deal for your husband and in-laws. I frankly say you having problem in your thinking process. First, your in-laws are doing you a favor. But you expected to be treated as a boss. That's ungrateful.
Also, if you want to know their roundabouts. Can't you open your mouth and ask. It seems you are a bit controlling.
My kids are having their summer vacation with my in-laws. Do I want to know where do they go and what do they do? YES - but I don't expect my in-laws to report to me. If I want to know, I call and ask.
Why can't you see it as a positive experience that you in-laws brought your baby to the peak to "see the world"? Why you have to be picky in a positive situation?
I just found out my in-laws brought my kids to the zoo yesterday. Yes, without me knowing. But, so what! I only feel happy to hear that my in-laws spent their time and energy to bring my kids out to see more.
Pls chill out and don't be so uptight. I just want to explain one thing to you. For example, if you are a full time nanny and you live with your 6299. No doubt about that you are the one fully responsible to take care of your lovely B. One day, you had found your lovely B was missing, you had no idea where he was, your 6299 was not at home also. What was in your mind? Later, your 6299 went home and they told you that they 'd just bought him to the Disney Park. What would you do ? Would you blame your 6299 didnot inform you to take your B out ? I am not sure . You better think it yourself.
