Hello, all, I am from vancouver too. I lived there since I was 12. I just came back to HK last year to deliver my son because I met my husband here.

My son is now 15 months and I am having trouble in choosing kindergarten for him. Anyone can help?

I am planning to bring him back to vancouver when he's Grade 6. But you know, he's only 15 months now, so still a long time to live in HK.............

Is ESF good? Please give me some advice.......

I miss vancouver so much. I just visited vancouver in April and stayed there for a total of 3 months!!! HaHa. The foods are really great in Vancouver, especially the bubble tea and japanese food.

Let's make some friends here !!!!

Hi! JenniferT,

Don't worry! your baby is just 15 months, but it's time to do some research for choosing kinder. Sorry that I'm not familiar with ESF , but you have time to look around.

X'mas is approaching, I miss the snow and love ski very much. Do you ski ? I went to Whistler at least twice each winter.There are too many lanes and many of them are wide.I also would like to bring my baby there,maybe next time I will go abck Vancouver in Winter. So do you still have friends in HK ?

各位

你地好... 我返咗來hk都有10年啦... 不過, 過去10年, 我每年都有返加拿大探屋企人, 只有今年沒有返, 因為我父母回來探我.

同你地一樣, 返來hk, 都係因為嫁雞隨雞, 老公公司掉佢來hk, 我就係咁跟佢返來hk啦... 一返就10年啦...

依架, 我有個女, 都就來3歲啦, 我都係想佢學好中文, 所以入本地幼稚園, 我無計劃幾時返加拿大, 雖然我都好miss 加拿大既日本野食同越南食品, 不過我都已經習慣哂hk了, 有家, 有工作... 好開心...

我番左香港都有近10年lu, 重結埋婚(咁橋, 老公都係加拿大人), 生左2個小朋友(大女5yrs old, 細仔16mths), 亞女在國際學校讀緊year 1, 而個仔就番playgroup

我係from Edmonton, 老公就溫哥華, 我地2個人都住過好多地方, 我老公係溫畢業後, 係Calgary 工作, 我地走時就係Tortonto住... 不過我住得最耐都係Edmonton

我就一直係toronto讀書同做野, 果年因為媽咪回港玩時在街比人打抾, 跌親入院, 我番來照顧佢, 點知............覺得香港好好玩, 一留就留左almost 10年lu

而我老公就一直係montreal讀書同做野

我地打算等個細仔讀完year6就回加拿大, 好大機會住在montreal

講到食, 在加拿大時就好掛住hk的wonton noodles, 街邊小吃....... 依家在hk, 又掛住加拿大的越南粉, new york fries, 重有我的至愛....taco bell 的 cinnamon twist

我同老公真係可以話係老華僑! 都住左好多好多年lu, 我屋企最早的一批係50年代坐ship去架! 所以加拿大的relatives多過香港n倍!

我兩個小朋友都係born in香港.........我完全冇諗過返加拿大生 (因為要32週前走, 冇老公在身邊, 我唔制架!)

Hi all,

I came back from Vancouver as well. I lived there since I was 15. Like many of you here, I came back because it was very hard to find a job in Vancouver. That's why after graduated from UBC, I moved back to HK right away. However, I am not planning to go back within the next 10 or 20 years since I am so established here.

My son is almost eight months now.
Hope to meet some friends here :-P

Hi,
Nice to meet you all. I came back from Toronto for almost 9 years. My son is 2 years old now and just starts to go to nursey school. I really want to go back to give better education to my son. However, it's not easy to find a job there especially my hubby has a pretty job here in H.K. It's a hard decision to make when to go back to Cananda!

Hi all,
Happy to see this topic and nice to meet you all. I came back from Montreal for >10 years. My husband was from calgary and we met in montreal 12 years ago. I have a son – makus who is 2 years old now and going to nursery class. All our families are still in canada, so we definitely will send makus to canada when he is in grade 6. makus will study in st catherine in the coming sept but I decide to change to CAIS when he is in k3.

睇番之前既message, 你話等個細仔讀完year 6就回加拿大, 好大機會住在montreal, 咁你會唔會比你既小朋友在HK學好法文? 因montreal的high school都係用法文, 怕唔怕小朋友唔適應?

Hello 各位媽咪：

小妹也是回流加拿大(Toronto - Scarbough)的，回港巳十年多了。而兩個兒子也是在香港出生的，大兒子現就讀KCIS (P4)，而細佬今年九月將也升讀同一校舍(P2)。我亦打算兒子在讀完Year 6後回加升中，但老公是老香港，不願意到加拿大生活，真苦惱！

Ingrid Ma Ma -還記得我嗎？我曾經在上年約六月份至电問有關Quarry Bay School 的interview 情況，需然當時兒子衰咗未能成功入讀該校，但仍多謝你當時介紹過KCIS，大兒子在 這校讀得很開心，但我最開心見他中文文法及普通話進步了不少，因他初小時是在純國際學校就讀，完全沒有中文學的。而今個月初ESF通知再去interview，跟老公相量過後決定唔去了，費事多心啦！需然ESF是當初由新界區搬回港島東區的首選(因學費平D並且師資又好像好D！)，還好！塞翁失馬、嫣知非福。(哈哈!!)

Nice to meet u. 我冇worry過d細路番montreal後唔適應法文.....
1) 我老公around12-3yrs old去montreal, 咪又係咁讀 (佢果時, french唔pass, 唔可以入u架)
2) montreal都有english highschool
3) 我女現在間學校到yr4好似會有法文的afterclass堂
4) 我地now都有教個大女少少french架
5) 不過到個女8yrs old, 怕且都要同佢報alliance francaise的children class
在montreal生活, 點都要識2咀french, right?!

Hi everyone:
I came back from Toronto almost 5 yrs, on and off between Toronto and HK in theses few years. My boy borned in North York General Last November, just came back in Jan. Do you girls have any good paediatrics recommand? Can I go to 育嬰院for baby check up instead of going to private hospital? For my understanding, 育嬰院 is only for baby who born in Hong Kong. So, where can I ask for enquires? Do you girls have any ideas of it.... because I am a kind of confusing. Thank you all.
