Mapking 10 is available... I used Mapking 7 in the past and it's not too good... It has improved lot of features in the Mapking 10

1) Mio P550 is around $2xxx. You can find it at WaiChai or Mongkok Computer Center

2) Holux GPSlim 236 or 240 is Bluetooth GPS receiver. It's around $1000 or less. You can find it at WaiChai or Mongkok Computer Center

For the installation, I think it's better for me to copy all 'required' software & map into a CD and give it to you in our next event... so, you can install it accordingly.

I borrow a car from my friend here in San Francisco these 2 weeks while I am here. There is a GPS in this car, it's the first time I used it. Well, it works perfect on the highway, but once you get down to the local traffic, you must drive very slow, otherwise, you won't have time to react from what it tells you.

For example, it says:"Turn right in 200 ft.", as it finished the instruction, I have already passed the intersection. I drove to Oakland airport today, I have missed 2 turns. However, it's still very helpful when you go to somewhere you have never been to, but you need to drive slow to wait for the instruction.

Yeah!! I tried GPS in Japan and it's so good too!! It's showing clear instruction that it should be turn left or right...

And, I can enter destination's telephone nbr to locate the location info...

係呀,日本d gps 好掂架, 好方便 key in tel no. 就好清楚教係轉左定轉右, 係town 都得架. 我last year 係北海道drive 過, 好正, 所以成日心思思想係自己架車裝番個

next week 去tokyo 同大板, 我都book 左車

新增下列功能

安裝方式：
1.請下載該檔案後，將檔案解壓縮。
2.將CHT9100利用ActiveSync與電腦連接後，執行此程式即可。

注意事項：
1. 更新ROM Code會造成個人資料與應用程式消失，請先將個人資料同步至電腦上備份。
2. 請確認電池電量在50%以上。
3. 若裝置內有Mini SD記憶卡，請先取出。
4. 程式執行時請勿拔下傳輸線,或開啟電腦上其他程式，以避免更新失敗。(嚴重時會造成PDA系統不開機)
5. 整個過程約需15~20分鐘，請耐心等候。
6. 程式執行完畢後，PDA會自動重開機後做自動安裝的動作，此動作約需3~5分鐘。
7. 若不熟悉電腦操作，請至經銷商服務中心請相關人員協助。

更新韌體若發生安裝無法完成之解決方法：
請先Reset(只需點戳reset) 後，可能情況：
1. 出現安裝三色畫面：重新執行安裝檔，程式會繼續執行。
2. 出現Dopod 畫面，仍可連結安裝檔：重新執行安裝檔，程式會繼續執行。
3. 出現Dopod畫面但是無法連結安裝檔：按住”電源” + "照相"不放,再按"Reset鍵"，畫面會進入三色的安裝畫面，繼續執行安裝。
4. 若仍然無法繼續安裝，請至經銷商服務中心請相關人員協助。

As I am using Dopod D810 (English Version), the offical ROM is not yet released.

Thus, I've tried beta GPS ROM

I used this ROM:

RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.23.707.2_6275_1.29.00. 11_108_Test.exe

GPS is enabled and it's working fine!!!

If the previous one doesn't work (i.e. CHT9100), then you should try the following Chinese Versions (CHT) 1.23.751.6 at that website.

i.e. RUU_Trinity_CHT_1.23.751.6_6275_1.31.00.11_108_Ship(GPS).exe

** If you do not know which ROM is correct, don;t worry to execute the EXE file... If the version does not match, you device will be rebooted when it's about 1-2% completed...

If it's correct, then it'll be finished by 100% and reboot the device... and then it'll be a clean device (i.e. set as factory default)
