A friend's son has 腸壞死症 because of prematured. (He was born during SARS.) I knew he had undergone a surgery to cut some of his 腸. He is 3 years old now and is very healthy.

My son didn't intake milk very good when he was born, after 1-2 weeks, he still only intake 1-2ml milk but when the nurses ejected the tubes, the milk was still in his stomach. Thereafter, the doctors injected some medicine for my son, also one injection per day (a course), and he could intake more milk. Doctors said that prematured babies - usually lungs and 腸 are not fully developed. So all you could do is be patient and I'm sure your babies will grow stronger and stronger each day!

Yes, it was the most difficult time in my life coz' you don't know what's going on and the worst situation may be losing both of them. Luckily, baby is very good and healthy right now.
