Collagen occurs in many places throughout the body. Over 90% of the collagen in the body, however, is of type one.
So far, 28 types of collagen have been identified and described. The five most common types are:
- Collagen I: skin, tendon, vascular ligature, organs, bone (main component of the organic part of bone)
- Collagen II: cartilage (main component of cartilage)
- Collagen III: Womb, skin, intestines, heart membranes, jaws;main component of reticular fibers, commonly found alongside type I.
- Collagen IV: forms bases of cell basement membrane
- Collagen V: cell surfaces, hair and placenta
根據所講,人體90% collagen都係type 1,而type 2 是關節主要物質,網上好多報告有關用來幫助關節炎。
維他命C是有助collagen吸收,所以選擇有維他命c或另加維他命會較好。
有些報導話collagen不能被人體吸收,但亦有研究指出collagen 是可以被人體吸收,例如這篇有關collagen II治關節炎既文章,有提到collagen II係最能比吸收的一種collagen,有成70-90%。
