Your own hormonal problem(s) will be minimized or suppressed because nasal spray is used to override your natural state.
If you have decided to use Gonal-F/Puregon, you can definitely do your own injection at home, or take it to an outside clinic which will charge you an acceptable amount (?).
Good luck on your treatment to come :)

Dear Cutecutetown,
Thanks for your advice. I'm still considering which medicine & method to choose. QM is quite far away from my home, but since my office is at Admiralty, I can manage to go to QM ...
Cutecutetown, my next doc visit will be Jul 23 (two weeks later). I am trying to relax/ not thinking about it, though the brownish discharge sometimes make me worry/ not at ease.....
Wish time goes faster.

Dear cutecutetown, I'm doing IVF at QM. My process of treatment is I'm doing nose spray and having injection for 4 days. I just want to know can I play some sports games, swimming and wakeboard at this period of time? Thank You.
How long have you have the brown discharge? And what's the volume like? I had spotting when I first found out I was pregnant too, and it lasted for 2 days and stopped, with the volume like first day of period. It stopped for a week, and I thought I was ok, and went out yesterday, and then today I have brown discharge again. This time the volume is quite a lot...it filled up to half a maxi pad...I am suppose to have my first u/s on Wed...now I just worry I might not see anything like my last miscarriage...sigh...so I guess I just wanted some comments here. And cutecutetown, please let me know how I'm doing with all these said. Thanks much!
When things are done in moderation, especially you look like having a relatively active lifestyle, the activities should not negatively impact your treatment.
Moderate exercises should help with detoxifying your body, refreshing your mind, and when persistent, can only be good to your health. In terms of fertility, exercises improve bloodflow, which brings oxygen and nutrients to the ovaries and uterus. I would only suggest that on your day of embryo transfer, you may avoid exercising too much and for the few days after, take exercises lightly.

Did you have another dose of 安胎 injection? You may want to call your doctor to see if you can get your u/s tomorrow instead of Wednesday, at least to relieve you from this anxiety.
In the mean time, try to rest, be a "couch potato" (let yourself do one thing that you want to do very very much but haven't done for a long time, e.g. have one scoop of ice-cream) and keep away any negative thoughts. We are all standing on your side here.

dingsmama, I have brownish discharge (Jun 21) before I even found out I was pregnant (Jun 24). It lasted for 3 days, then stopped, then started again on Jun 28 until now. not only brownish discharge, i have red discharge twice during the last 2 weeks. 嚇得我! I went to emergency on Jun 30 - but doctor could only see a very small sac and nothing they could do wor...
then I rest for a few days - no red discharge now but still brownish discharge. Re. volume, I need to use pad, 2-3 pads a day depending on the activity level.
My advice is - try to make yourself as relaxing as possible, because there is really nothing you can do at this stage. If you can, take a bit more rest, not necessarily bed rest.

Thanks much for your sharing, advice and kind words. Out of anxiety, I visited another doc (my doc is currently on vacation, and I couldn't schedule appointment with his temp. substitute). I did see the sac from the u/s, but the doctor said it wasn't complete probably due to the early stage (5 weeks 4 days). However, he is suspecting that I might have utopic. Due to different of practise, he wished to take my blood test but couldn't (I had the 安胎 injection, Ovidrel, this morning given by my original doc, and he said it would affect the blood reading. So he could only help me with another dose of
安胎 injection (the oily on the butt one), and asked me to go back on Friday, hopefully will be able to see complete sac development and even better, the heart beat, by then.
I could only pray and hope for the best. Thanks much for your support. I shall update you all later.

I had two miscarrages (both at week 8-9). So the coming two weeks are most critical to me. I am also very anxious during the waiting-to-see-gyn period. but what can we do? so watch tv, read a book - do something to distract your attention.

Do you have any further diarrhea (肚all)? I suspect the bowel movement which caused your diarrhea might have given you the impression that the "pain" came from the area near your ovaries. Your bowel and ovaries are somewhat close to each other. Or, do some women have extraordinary 'reaction' to the implantation event? I do not want to think that way or cause any unneccessary anxiety; the fact is, we the scientific community don't know.
To base things on what we know, the gastro-interstinal system is totally separate from the reproductive system in females. And if an embryo has implantation potential, it will implant given it is inside the uterus. If the embryo is no good, it can't do anything even if you lay flat and rest for the entire two weeks after ET.
I feel bad because I probably still leave you in limbo. To give you a simple response, small diarrhea should not affect implantation.

Thanks for your answer. After consulting more in detail with the QM nurses, I understand that the two ways of injection differ in both type and brands of hormone.
1. hMG - this type is the one for 肌肉注射, can be injected in QM or by clinic. It is cheaper.
2. FSH - this is the one for injection to belly, and it's pure than hMG so it's much more expensive. Gonal-F / Puregon as you mentioned before belongs to this type.
I just wonder if there is any statistics / evidence for higher successful rate for hMG vs FSH? Of the effect is "negligible" as mentioned in your previous reply?
Sorry for asking again as the QM doctor asked me to choose by myself... and I don't have enough professional knowledge to judge which one (hMG or FSH) is better...
Thanks very much!

Hello, so your treatment isn't delayed, which is a good news.
For the injections, if you can go to the QM clinic to have it daily, then it doesn't matter which type you choose. Only wh ...
I cannot easily quote you unbiased statistical figures. There is always a tendency for centres to recommend the pure FSH to women of the older age groups. Also, some centres do not offer HMG, making the pure FSH the only choice.
My recommendation is that if financially you are tight, use HMG. If financially you are ok with both types and you are below 35 years of age, pick the kind that gives you the best convenience. If you are >35 years old, the pure FSH may be better.

Somewhat yes (with 3 eggs for ivf), but now is still a bit early. The u/s on Saturday will give a better picture, sometimes a few smaller ones may show up. Good luck!
It looks like you have a preg test kit at home?! I hope you won't have any further spotting, and you may "cheat-check" tonight. Regardless of the preg result, continue 塞藥 until your "official" bingo test day.
Thanks. I'm now 36.5 years old. Financially I'm OK to take both types, just psychologically I prefer injection by others rather than by myself. If this is the case, I'll confirm again with the QM doctor at the day of 1st injection, and most probably I'll take the FSH if it has better effect to me. Thanks again for your advice.

I think you mention about the possibility of taking the medication to a clinic in Admiralty for injection. I am confident that you can do it yourself as the FSH pen design is very friendly and easy to use; but still keep the Admiralty option open so there is always an alternative if you are psychologically not very comfortable.
Take it easy, cutecutetown
