Sorry for late reply as I just came back HK from work.
I like Kentville so much because I saw many of their "good products"!! Those student is studying or graduated from Kentville are extraordinary smart, mature, independent and 懂事... and it's truth that they are very much welcomed by many elite primaries and those students' academic level are very good when going to P.1, they are usually the top students in the class, because KV's K3 syllabus has already covered part of the P.1's in some extent, especially in Chinese & Maths. My husband only likes KV only, but not other KGs including SC, because he likes traditional approach. Self-discipline and certain stress for studying are good in his eyes!! :lol:
However, after my 'hard-work' these few days by keep asking regarding SC and getting info from BK, I also very much appreciate their approach of teaching, cirriculum as well as those activites they designed for parents to join the kid's school-activities. On the other hand, it has certain advantages for the interview of CCKG in K2 as the headmistress of CCKG would like to hunt for kids who are keen on English conversational communication as well as reading, which is exactly the 'characteristics' of most SC students. This is why I will give a thought of SC too and definitely will pay the registration fee for secure a place. Meanwhile, I will see if I may have a chance to get an offer from Kentville, then I will decide which KG will be more appropriate for Charmaine, as she will start pre-nursery in Jan/Feb06. I would like to see how she will be after going to pre-nursery as to choose the best one to suit her.
So I can conclude a summary as below:

- Stress applies to their studies to encourage students to be independent in studies and homeworks
Cons:
- No Phonics

- No 親子活動
- No Native English Teacher (NET)
- Stress applies in their studies since kindergarten
- 無分大仔, 細仔班
SC

Pros:
- Strong in English with NET, especially in coversation
- with activity approach --> funful school-life
- Welcome by elite schools
- reading habit trained
- with Phonics lesson from K2
- many extra-cirricular activities and 親子活動
- many CCKG students (1/3) are from SC every year
- 分大仔, 細仔班, 可因材施教
Cons (my worries only):
- less stress from school. Too happy school-life for 3 yrs, making difficulties in adapting primary life
- dependent character, get used to rely on parents in projects / homeworks
Comments from other parents are very welcomed, especially whose kids are studying in KV/SC. Please correct me if I am wrong or sth missing of the above.
Both are very good schools!! However, I have no choice at the moment, I have to wait for KV's offer by next year. :cry:

1) May I ask if Alan takes 大校巴 or 褓姆車 to SC? I read the time of getting on the 大校巴 in the morning seems quite early. Is there any other option that the 褓姆車 will directly go from Whampoa to Kln Tong without going to Tokwawan?
2) Which date will the school commence? 1/9 or last week of August? (do you know about Kentville's too?) I have to apply leave in advance to go schooling for the 1st week.
3) How's the arrangement for the 1st week schooling? Does SC/KV allow parent to join as to adjust for the kids?
