No problem at all. You situation is very similar to mine, I've gained 30lbs since I'm pregnant and I also didn't eat much more than before. I have no idea why I have diabetes this time. I ate much more last pregnancy (gained 50lbs in total) and I don't have any problems with glucose.
My nutritionist said it's actually ok to eat basically everything but it only depends on how much you eat those food. For example, ppl said grapes are really high in sugar so don't eat that, but my nutritionist said it's ok to eat grapes but just eat 10 grapes lor, or if you want to eat fries, you can eat 8 fries lor. It's really hard to control but it's not that bad after all. You can check the nutrition info on the food you buy and you'll be able to know how much carbohydrate in those kind of food (take 40g carb each meal) and you can calculate it correctly. The main thing is to WALK !! I can really see the difference with and without walking. There's 2 mornings I ate exactly the same things, the morning I walk my number is 6.5 and the one I didn't walk is 10.1. 30 mins is more than enough for us big belly woman ga la !! It's cold here in Vancouver now too so I just go to the gym and walk on the treadmill with the speed of 2.5 lor. Hope these information can help you la !!
