and being a first time mum with no family support here :-( it is comforting to have my own midwife to be on call all the time. So the only real difference between private and NHS is you get the same midwife throughout the whole pregnancy and delivery and you get one night stay in the private ward which is like a hotel room. All other tests, scan and facilities are on NHS. Of course the private midwife also takes better care of you and will sometimes help you cut through all the red tapes. :mrgreen: The hospital, which is a NHS hospital, I went to was also very good, their maternity unit was very new and they have a home from home natural birth centre which has fantastic single rooms for both delivery and recovery. So if I were to do it a second time (very unlikely) I would go back to the same hospital but without a private midwife, i.e. just go free on NHS.
so far so good, she hardly wakes during the night now. (touch wood)

glad that she likes the school life here, is she in year1? Trevor is looking forward to have lunch at school next week, he thinks it is more fun to have lunch at school. he starts telling me more about his school and singing the songs that he learn from school. hope your daughter make more friends too! (sorry, i forget your daughter's name, could you tell me again please?

my 99 said he is too young to learn chinese, we just waste money. but i don't agree, those children in HK who are 4, can already do lots chinese writing.also, he is free now, later he might have to do his homework as well as chinese school's homework. anyway, i am still worrying how to get to the U on sunday :-(
