救世軍 nursery needs interview, but not for selection purpose. Basically it's more like first-come-first-serve.
It's already a bit too late for some 救世軍 nursery (we applied the one in Tsuen Wan around 10m, not were not even invited for their open day this year), but you can check how long is the waiting list in your area.
My recommendation is to apply first ($10 application fee), and see what happens.
I don't know either, also 1st time parent, but the nursery said nothing special, just see if the BB can 'act like a normal BB' and chat with the parent on their expectation & understand of their nursery. I'm hoping for an interview early next year for another SA nursery.
Someone said 保護兒童會 is also good, and we have applied the one nearby. But comparing 保護兒童會 & SA, SA have more toys/equirements for the BB. You can ask for an visit to their campus, normally after school hour.
