:-P Nice to know you! I know ah! I read some of the old messages from this forum. I like your son's name so much. My son still doesn't have a Chinese name, I will give him one with Surname of my father. And of course his Italian Surname as my husband. He he!!

I like this idea so that he has Chinese surname same as mine :mrgreen:

i am living in Munich, so we are about 6.5 hours away from each other... hehehe. luckily my husband is kinda Hongkong already (he lived in Hongkong for 2 years), so he supports me to make our life more Hongkong. and sometimes i find that i am more used the Germany life than him, hahaha.

yes, we cook Chinese food at home... we love cooking so much and going to good chinese restaurant is kinda expensive here, so we rather cook at home mostly. and when everytime i have homesick, my husband will bring me to chinese shop to let me buy whatever i want and then a dinner at the only Hongkong restaurant here. it offers very Hongkong food, but kinda expensive... fired rice cost around 11EUR...!!!

no.... no one is coming and help my "sit month", my mother wanted to come but she needs to be back before is born... so my parents will come around Christmas. my husband will be able to get at least 2 weeks holiday after the baby is born, so i think i will get enough help from him. but still... i miss mama!!!

It's good that you can find nice HK restaurant in Munich ( though it is really expensive). I can say all of the Chinese restaurants here in Italy are yucky and dirty. The worst one I tried with my husband here is we ordered 4 different dishes and they all taste the same. Only salty taste with artifical favours.

You know during my pregnancy, I home sick Chinese food so much. Sometime I dreamed of wonton noodle, sometimes 'drink tea' dishes. I realised that I could not get it when I woke up, then I became a bit sad. Therefore, during my 4 th month pregnant we flew to Paris and I've eaten a lot and well ( they have real HK restaurant there!!) Cost fine and I bought a lot of stuffs from Chinese supermarket there.

I used to work in a German company in HK, I've been to Stuggart and Humberg before. I like so much German food and Prezel bread!! Delicious! :wink:

you are right, the Area 13 in Paris is soooooo great!!! everytime when we go to Paris (because i have family there, so we go to Paris sometimes), we will bring our coolbox and buy a lot of food from the supermarkets there and of cos a roasted duck (or 2...)!!! our goal is to fill the car as full as we can!! haha, my cousins always say we are perparing the food for the war... hehehe. some socall chinese restaurants are the same here as there. they can have the same thing just make them look different and put on a different name for a new dish....!! we dont have so many chinese in Munich, we can get the best Japanese food here but not chinese food.

my mouth has been tasting a lot of different Hongkong food lately..... and everytime when i call my mother and when she reports what she cooks at home... i feel that she is trying to kill me!!! hehehe...

my mother also fall in love with all those tasty German Bread! hehehee.

you 2 keep talking about food??!! I can understand since I was also dreaming of wanton/fish ball noodle and fake fin soup in the street when I was in Norway. I always made noodle soup myself at home and my husband loved it 2.

You 2 are lucky that have your mother's help. I was all alone taking care of the bb by myself for almost a year!!!! :-( :-( it's really terrible and I cried a lot at the first few months! So now I'm in HK, I immediately got another one since I've my family and a maid to help me!! ( though my mother didn't come and help much either even in HK, she's a bit lazy anyway. )

haa...my 2nd one is a girl but it's ok, she looks like a boy since not much hair! yeah...

you should give a chinese name to your kid, mine also have chinese name and use my surname, hee...I'm quite proud of the names I made becuz both are v. difficult to write, my son is 穎齊, my girl is 穎曦! i even put the english translation into their English first name , so they've a v. long first name. It's v. funny, when my son applied for the birth certificate in Norway, they kept asking "are u sure all those words put into the first name??", they've problem in typing all the words into the system..haa...

My husband also like the BBQ pork so much in Paris. When talking about this food things, I really want to make a trip now to Paris again. It's not that far for you to drive from Munich to Paris right, how long does it take? Any planning for a short summer vacation?
