Wow! 28 lbs is really good. Corey is 26.5 lbs now. If Eddy doesn’t feel like to eat solid food, let him go lor. Don’t force him. Maybe you can rub his gum gently, that may release the tension he has in his mouth (of course, make sure you wash hands before doing so). I also bought some teething toys / gerber cookies for Corey to bit. It helps. Perhaps you can try as well.

我就慘囉﹐尋晚 eddy 訓得好差﹐我一訓著佢就喊﹐飲兩啖奶又訓返﹐因為牙痛飲兩啖就搖頭。今日仲發燒添﹐我總共訓得3個鐘。抱佢抱到手都軟﹐個個又返工﹐無人幫手。訓晏覺又唔肯落床訓又唔肯落地玩﹐真係抱足一日。連廁所都去唔到:-(

Gabriel宜家 also 8lb. OB驚我哮喘底, 有羊癎同heart murmur, 怕到時會頂唔順.. 所以一到39weeks, 就induce labour, 會安全啲..

平安夜點過呢..我黎到hk..好反常呀..我係ny時. 唔到midnight都唔訓, 唔到1200都唔起身, 但係呢度, 叻叻晚晚1000就要我同佢訓啦, 早早7-800就起身..你話我而家係唔係好唔正常呀...哈哈...所以我同叻叻有一個平安到唔平安既平安夜~~~

平安夜very no good to me this year
eddy jai's fever was getting higher and higher last nite, and tried to call nillie for advices but no one picked up, maybe sleeping? he didn't get any better after tylenol, so i have no choice just to send him to hospital...it was like midnite, and waited for 4 hrs there, he cried and cried..and wanted me to hold him and walk around, he didn't allow me to sit down, didn't want daddy, so i was tired to death..... :-(
afterall, doctor said it's just virus and told me to give motrin instead of tylenol...so we were home like almost 5am...and edison didn't sleep well, his congestion is very severe now...now another midnite, he cries out every 5 min...when i'm typing this msg, he cried for 2 times already, i have to hold him until he gets back to sleep :-(
we just stayed home all day....this is my 平安夜

after u give him motrin and if fever still over 102 F in 2 to 3 hrs, u can take tylenol alternatively every 3 hrs in between the 2 doses of motrin.

for instance,
8:00 motrin
if 10:00 or 11:00 still 102+ F -->
11:00 tylenol
2:00 motrin

there might be a possibility of ear infection if fever still not go away. in that case, he has to take the antibiotics. did the doctor check for his ears?

hope Eddie will recover soon!

thanks for your advices, his fever was gone after motrin, just not tylenol, and then few hrs later his fever comes back....so it's not ear infection...
doctor prescribed ibuprofen to eddy for lowering the fever, yea, his fever can be gone temporarily, but seems he's getting sore throat from that...side effect? his voice is gone...i feel so upset :cry:

I have not chatted with u before but I am also a US mom. I saw your message and want to tell u that last month the same thing happened to my daughter Karina (she was 14 months then).

Same thing: lost voice, fever, vomiting and even difficulty in breathing. At the very end, a 3rd doctor diagnosed her as "croup cough" and one shot of steriod relieve all symptoms. So if u can, bring Eddy to see a pedi and ask if he also has "croup cough". Also running a humidifer as closely to him as possible.

At that time, we thought she might have an asthma attack and rushed to ER: no use at all! It's just torture: IV, x-ray, urine test but at the end, just said viral infection. Then Karina's pedi also did not know it's croup cough and she suffered for 3 days until we saw a 3rd doc who is more experienced.

Good luck to Eddy and hope he will recover soon!

thank you very much for telling me your experience..when we were in ER, the doctor didn't do any test like yours on eddy, she's kinda 求其

...she said if the fever is still after two more days, we have to see doctor again...we will just see if he's getting better tonite....he still has fever but not over 103deg today...and today is xmas day, i can't find any doc office open...what we can do now is just wait for tomorrow....

i turn on the humidifier every day/nite, and put on vicks plug in vapor....i got sick too, i breathe better with the vicks vapor, but seems it doesn't work on eddy, coz he breathes with loud sound from the throat...

i didn't give him motrin today, my husband said it's too strong, making the condition worst...i also made some soup for him, doesn't help much though

his throat hurt a lot, he was asking for milk, but he only put the bottle near his mouth and cried and kept saying "mum mum":-( .... he's hungry but afraid of the soar throat.... :-(

my husband and i take turn to watch after eddy, so we can both have some rests....
anyone knows where i can buy the thing that protect the back of pregnant woman? it hurts a lot these few days

They are easy and worth a trial.

When we bought Karina to the ER, the doc did everything "standard" (and too much for a little baby!) but not address to our complaint: i.e. difficulty in breathing. After doing all the un-necessary tests, the result is the same: go back to your own doc if fever continues!

For your back pain problem, see if u want something like this:

Maternity belt by Motherhood

I used it for long time when I had Karina in my tummy and it helped. Also try hot pad and massage (if your hubby knows how to do it).

sorry.. 我哋玩到顛咗.. 到今朝至見到missed call..

for virus, 會自己消失.. takes almost 1星期..
make sure fever 唔會太高.. over 104F要去ER
退燒药.. tylonel 唔會好work for virus infection.. motrin 會好啲( as 佢係anti -inflamatory--> 可以抗炎症).
check 吓係咪 croup cough..
下次有事要call 埋肥bear 手機.. 我pm 你... ok?

聽到都擔心呀..我都係新手媽..幫唔到你, but I will pray for Eddy仔 to recover very soon.
叻叻個pedi係我番hk前, 都叫我帶motrin番hk, 佢話tylonel只係可用作101c, over102要食motrin,因佢有六小時效力, 同埋叻叻咁細都可食infant既motrin, eddy食都唔會有事既. 至緊要佢冇發燒, 我都覺得睇番自己個pedi好過去ER.

Thanks. My husband is just afraid motrin is too strong, because after eddy took the first motrin, his voice changed. I will keep in mind that motrin is for viral fever and >102

Eddy's fever is gone tonite, hopefully it won't come back. And he can sleep on the bed himself tonite, doesn't need me to hold him and comfort him to sleep, I feel so happy. But he still coughs severly, and cried everytime he coughs. Hope he can sleep "better" tonite.
