Well, I totally agree that the kids "taken care" by mom is totally different from that by "maid" alone. If your working hour is so long, only allows less than 1 hour seeing your son, it's really time to consider quitting the job.

Fortunately, I still have time to look after my kids after work, but it's really not easy to do it as perfect as full time mom like Bobo1 and Kalani. I've tried my best already! Perhaps I have to consider doing part-time later as well, but I don't think I can be a full time mom.

yup.. totally agree with you ... there's difference in kids who taken care by mom and maid...
but as a career woman, you have much more other than Kids in your life wor... !
I made a decision quitting my job when my girl was 10 mons old.. coz I didn't even got to see her alive for one whole week...
my DH , fo course, men are selfish ga.. they know their kids are better off with mommies.. so my DH doesn't want me to work again.. at least for the next year or so..
Working means much more than having more $ in the household.. it's about you! you life, your career and what you wanna be in 10 years time....
Of course, kids are important.. but if staying home means you're less happy with yourself... how can your kids be happy?
my point here is... don't do this FOR your kids.. do it because you WANT to do it... I mean staying home.

I just found and got a baby cabas but the SA has not bill my credit card. The SA suppose to send it to me today so hopefully I'll get it soon! I'll be so upset if she didn't hold it for me!

Sharpey is one of the few that I like from the pre-fall collection. Not many others really look good. Good choice ah. What color do you like? And where are you now? Maybe where you are have more stock and more variety than HK!

The Uptown is $1895. Very c mon but nice looking ah! Go grab it quick if you like it la.
I do like Zac Posen's clothes and bags also ah. But their clothes are very "hard" to wear, I can only keep looking ja. These are two that I like recently

I know they look alike... but both look so nice.

yeah, FT mom can be quite boring ga... but depends on how to schedule you day ... I 'm luck that I have some C9 friends .. so I will go lunch with them ( or tea) chit chat for 1-2 hours... and take the kids to all sorts of classes... when I go home. it's usually around 6-7pm lor... so my day is quite busy ga...

I try to keep myself busy so I don't have time to regret being a FT mom lor! :lol: :lol:

ME too .. I' m soo scare... well, actually, I'm not really scare.. since I can't afford $60k watch every other month... so I don't think I'll get addicted to it wor! hee hee....

you know, so strange, I have not been interested in any other brand of hangbag recently lor... before , I would buy BV too... but now... I lost interest in all other brand.... only Chanel recently... so weird!

Isn't the clutch nice?! It is $950. I like the big one too ah, the only thing making it not perfect is that it looks a little too complicated. See, I am more 花心 ah. Although getting more Chanel bags recently, I still have to get other brands'

Talking about FT mom, I have a lot of feelings...but after looking at what Kalani say about: (dont think that you are doing/ sacrifice for your kids, do it becoz u wanna do it!!! ) that makes me relief a lot....
I have been a FT mom for 2 years ever since I got pregnant, I quit the job...I struggle a lot b4 I quited the job coz I hate the feeling that I'm not productive in the family...I like the satisfaction that I got from my job and I like to hang out with my colleagues and friends....but sometimes when you have a family, u gotta need some sacrifice....that's sth I always think about to cheer myself up!! but the fact is I always envy ppl who have their own business and from that to gain your own confidence and satisfaction...am I being too selfish??
but taking care of my own child has given me many many happiness, becoz u can see how she grows day by day, and she will be more close to you!! such a conflicts!!
sometimes needle wont be sharp on both side....i know....hm...but I really appreciate and impress on you all business women who could balance yr work and yr family...even though 1 hour seems so little, but quality is all that matters!!

My hubby are same here who also doesnt want me to work anymore..like Bobo1 and Kalani...

Recently, I just find myself interested in Chanel only...( same as you, Kalani)haha...mainly reason becoz of this thread la!! I saw some other pre-fall bags which are really pretty, but I told myself to rather save my quota on chanel...haha
I'm not a watch person, I think I buy a watch once a year la, not necessary expensive ones, just sth that I like to match clothes...the most expensive one that I bought is my Rolex GMT lor....really 肉痛！！

I'm still thinking if I want a baby cabas, I ask Caxxxx and she said only black and khaki is available in July/ August...and price is $1995 lu... :-( ....hmmmm.....not buying la!! any other 朋友 here interested..

Just go with your heart. If you really feel the urge to work again, then work again. I am sure you can also handle work and family well like the other working moms here. But, if you feel extremely guilty and unhappy to reunite with the work force, then staying home is not a bad choice either. Don't be too harsh on yourself la.
This thread is so dangerous! I have been buying more bags (oh my dear... not only Chanel, other brands too...that is very bad!) because of this thread. I am going to find someone to blame it on the person someday soon! hehehehe.... Someone has to be responsible for this crazy bag shopping act ma!

About bags, I've tried to control myself already...lately bought 3 chanel in 2 months is really crazy la..I cant efford to buy other brand handbags la..but still bought few pairs of shoes in On pedder lor...big sale ma....no more shopping lu...
I know this thread is dangerous and so does the purse forum..recently, I go and check the site frequently--like the reference library is really good to take reference, but that's how I fall into the trapppppppppppppppppppppppppppp...haha

I think everyone here understand what you mean ah!!! I am not buying anymore to save bullets for the two reissues and maybe the ice-cube bag. I remember seeing photos of some very nice bags awhile back. But they are not being released on Pre-fall nor Act I. So, will see how Act II & III look ah. Can't be too crazy now and regret later ma. hehehe...

but now it has been getting better... I got more use to it.. and trust me, I believe my life ( or our lives as c9) is also very demanding ar..

when friends ask me if I will join the workforce again, I keep saying "yes, after my daughter go to K1 la...blah blah..." this was worse in the first year, but now better la! sometimes weird feeling come back again! thanks for your word banging my head!!

strange ar..at least it meant sth that we are still productive and not totally rely on husband ma..just dont like giving ppl this kind of impression...and u are rite that it seems meaningless to spend so much time and $ on our education..
sometimes i have a stupid thought that I may not be able to set good examples to my daughter...I mean it seems I'm now not knowledeable and my mind are getting slow who doesnt contribute much to my daughter...I dont want my daughter to feel that I'm a useless mom when she grown up... :-(
