To all US-Moms

Greeting, I am from the north side of the border. A while ago I posted a message in here asking where to stay in LA during X'mas time. That's again for all the mom replied. I do have a question and hope moms in LA can give their 2 cents.

Is DoubleTree in 888 Montebello Blvd. Rosemead any good? Is it close to any chinese resturant or food court?

888 location is not very good.
there are many mexicans living in there. so.............Moneterey park is much better. there is another china town in LA. "Rowland Height"

What about

Four Points Sheraton Arcadia (700 West Hungtinton Dr. Monrovia (next to Arcadia)

Lincoln Plaza Hotel (123 South Lincoln Ave Monterey Park)

Do you mean there are plenty chinese rest. and market close by (within walking distance) if I stay in Lincoln Plaza? I am worry because we will take the local tour bus (not car rental) as well it's Xmas time which everywhere will close. I assume the chinese will still open.

Is it safer in Lincoln Plaza. Sorry as it sounds LA is a scary place to go. I must have watch too much hollywood movie and cnn news. I am sure most are just common sense and cautions.

Best Western is a good choice. The location is in Rowland Heights. I like book this hotel to my friends. There are many Chinese restaurants, 99 Ranch market, HK style restaurants. And they have shuttle bus to shopping mall. Toll free: 1 (800) -874- 2858 :-P

No fire is in San Bernardino. Happy... The weather is cold since last Friday. Today the temperature is 0 -16 c in my place.

Last Friday ( Halloween ), we took bb went outside to get candies. My bb is a pink Leopard. I am a Pumpkin. Funny !!!

How about you gals gathering? Take care yourself when you go out.

My doctor told me, if I keep no bleeding during this month. I can go back to USA, Really want go back to USA to celebrate Christmas wth Fat Bean.

Good for you, after 3 mos of pregancy it should be more stable. Fat Bean will be so happy when she see you. Why you have to give birth in H.K. if you can come back to US, I thought your hubby should able to come to US by the time you are due right?

That's good news !!! I think you better stay home more and keep good body. Remind you " Don't carry heavy thing". Hope you have health body and welcome you come back. "Fat Bean" is waiting for you to celebrate X'mas.

I bought the 八珍甜醋 at Shu Fat supermarket ( Montery Park ) and Tak shing Hong ( Rowland Heights ). And also I bought black 糯米酒 at Shun Fat. Do you know one of the new Shun Fat branch is in Rowland Heights? The location is near Hong Kong Plaza. ( opposite )

Because my doctor told me my fetal is very low. So I might not able to take airplane. Specially, long freight. Too dangerous. But let see at the end of the month.
The most important thing is the hospital charge is too expensive. If suddenly anything happen to me......... My insurance won't cover this.

I still carrying my baby....my last date on work will be nov 14...so I hope baby will come out after nov 14.....
I have to go see doc every week now....by 36 weeks...my doctor told me all the sign which baby is ready to come out....I feel so much presuree...and then I asked her...it's my bb ready to come out...why you tell me all the sign all the sudden....and I told her I'm not really ready yet...my bb crib is not set up ...and it seems so much things I haven't get ready yet....and then she told me go home and get ready for the runaway bag for hospital....

hope bb will be co-operate with me and me and my hubby will love to see her after nov 14 :-P :-P

If your bb is too low, please make sure your body ok and no quick fly back to US. Safe is most important you and your bb. Did you see private doctor in HK? Why too expensive? I know the public hospital is good medical machine and free for 2D?

I am out, and I don't know you almost bb coming. Don't panic

Isn't your first bb? In my experience, the runaway bag, I packed a lot of stuffs, however; the hospital supplied enough things to me and bb. Thus, my bag is not need to do, just keep in hospital. And you will get many different samples. I got diaper and diaper bag free, formula free, lotion free, pacifier free, etc,...
About the crib that you are not ready. We also ready late, because no stock in the store. Everyone asked, did you ready........? My answer is always say, I am not ready yet, but I relax to face. It is because you relax, your bb is also relax. Thus, you are happy and also your bb happy! Take it easy! Let us know when you enter hospital.
