It seems most people will do a lot renovations in their new home...
As newbies to private estate and at the age of early twenties, My wife and I spent nearly our whole savings for the down payment. The remainings could barely afford a few pieces of decent furnitures and it is impossible for us to do any fixtures. Sometimes I see green when you people talk about fixtures and probably we are the only couple in HLP who does not renovate our home. Still we are grateful for we somehow have a home, sweet home that we strived for years. I think most HLP owner would feel the same.
An embarrassing story to share...
To remind us to save, my wife and I stick labels on every bare places in our home. We write our desired pieces of furnitures on the labels and we wish we could fill in the hollow spaces in two-year time. I always remember my highschool teacher's words and today I put them in action 'If you can't have what you love, love what you have.' I love HLP, I love my home. I love you neighbors. Cheers~^v^
