thanks for your reply, 我都有自己教個仔french, 不過佢咁細, 唔敢教咁多驚佢confuse. 我試過一間french playgroup, 個class得我個仔一個人, 個亞sir又悶又冇prepare教材, 自己教都好過佢.

你BB咁細, 應該要定期打vaccinations至1.5 yrs old. 其實好多private hospital 同診所都可以打, 佢地會有張針卡比你, 上面會寫住幾多個月要打乜野針, 直至小學.

I prefer HK when I'm alone, but now I have a 2 year- old son, I prefer going back to Canada, coz the enviornment is much better. However, my hubby works in HK with a satisfactory job, so i don't think I'll go back in the near future.

I came back from Canada (toronto) 10 years ago and now have a newborn. I am thinking about returning to Canada but my husband is not canadian. does any mom know how long it takes to apply for the PR from hk ar? thanks

Although I like Vancouver very much, I won't go back cos both my husband and I are so well establised in HK....may be when we retire, we will go back....don't whether we still have friends at that time.

my godson's auntie were Canadian but went back to HK for almost 10 years. just apply for her husband to come over.
they submit the application in HK (back in 2003 Dec) and wait for 1 year or so to have the visa (in Jan 2005).
my other friend in BC, he asked his girl friend to come over, get married in BC and stay here to apply for PR, just take 6 months to have the landing visa.
guess it depends if you live in Toronto to apply for PR or from place of origin..
if your husband does have a job in HK, then don't bother to come over now, just apply there and work till the visa is out.

I have lived in Montreal since a few years old. When I married my husband from Edmonton, I have to retutned to HK with him. After 13 yrs of hectic life in HK, I have a 2-1/2 yrs old son and became a full-time mom since then. As we're planning to send him back to study in Canada after grafe 6. He has to taking care of himself then. So, learning to be independence is included in his millstone. Although it's hard for me to manage without a full-time maid. He loves helping me out, like bringing his own bolw and spoon to the kitchen when he finishes his meal, helping to put laundry into the washing machine, tidy up his toy when it's time for me to clean the floor. So, it's never too young to teach him to be independence.

Glad to meet you here! Remember me from Millie_Nellie's topic "Darkest days in New York"? We both gave birth at Union Hospital in the same month and year. My boy was borned in late Oct. whereas your's in mid-Oct., and we both from Montreal, what a coincidence! Do you think we might have the same doctor? Mine was Dr. Yuen C. She's a very good doctor. By the way, which french playgroup did you went to? As I'm planning to take my son for a trial, so he can familiarize with french. I didn't start to teach him french yet, as I don't want to confuse him. I'll wait until he starts K1 to teach him second language. Meantime, learning to read and write in good Chinese is essential for him. You're good in writing Chinese, whereas I couldn't hardly manage. But I'm glad that I can read 80% of chinese now, after all these yesars in HK. Did you went back to Canada for vacation? I'm planning to go this June, but the air ticket is very expensive, around $12,000 for 90 days.
